Does anyone know what will happen to inspire drones ( more than 2kg of course) after 29/9/16 when the new rules start in Australia?Can we still fly UAV more than 2 kg without CASA training registration?, Remy

No you can't. The changes only apply to aircraft under 2Kg.
If you want to fly the Inspire commercially then you need the Controller's certificate.

I meant, can we still fly Inspire recreationally, not commercially. Thanks

Yes u can. If u want to fly commercially, then u will need training.

No changes for recreational flying - get out there, enjoy yourself and fly safe!

Been trying to get the Inspire under 2Kg with helium balloons - keep getting 'Motor Obstructed' errors!
Damn balloon strings keep getting caught in the props!
