went out at sunset yesterday and saw a storm on the horizon.  Thought I had time to try the POI feature and then at 10 seconds in, I saw this....  could this have been a wind gust, or something else entirely?  10 seconds into video.

I dont kno that that was wind, it looked like the camera moving, not the drone, but thats just my opinion, uploading your logs @ heathydrones might give more insite

I've had that a few times. Seems the gimbal either shuts off (overload maybe) or simply is overpowered. I was thinking of posting the same question. It does seem to be wind load related. The first time it happened was the first flight after installing a tulip-style lens hood. Took it off after landing. Has occurred once or twice again on other days without anything added to the lens. Each time it was a windy flight. Will await a reply from DJI.

You need to post the flight long on Healthy Drones https://healthydrones.com/ or Phantom Help.com http://www.phantomhelp.com/LogViewer/Upload/

You'll be able obtain a lot more information about the flight.

It's a new gimbal assembly not even 4 flights old. And another person already states they have similar issue in high wind.  So is this an isolated incident, a common occurrence, or should i have it replaced.

Also mechanically speaking, how would it be possible for the camera that is level and pointed in a downward direction, to suddenly be pointing to the left with the horizon vertical and not have the aircraft landing supports in the way? The only way I see it, is if the entire aircraft began to flip over to the right.
As I began a poi rotation turning counter clockwise (aircraft moving to its right) I bevieve I hit a strong wind gust.

I did upload the log to healthy drone but I found no other information there to explain what happened.

It's not wind 100% sure about that you could fly it in 45mph wind gusts and you will never see that happen.  What it is is a gimbal glitch/Melfunction try to reset the p4 with DJI assistant then reinstall firmware followed by all of your calibrations. IMU/Compass/gimbal

Ok.  I'll do that today.

I reckon it is the wind. Mine has done this also, both times it has been extremely windy.  In fact I flew today in a remote location and it was extremely windy in fact I am impressed the P4 made it through my flight.  This exact same thing happened today briefly half way through my flight.

Check out the footage, you can see how windy it is with the trees.  I edited out the gimble twitch.

Its the wind, monitor the water fall below and you can see the water spout to the right is bending in the wind, if you campare it to the other three water spouts, just as the camera tips back and forth, so does the water spout.
