It's a good thing im living in the EU. For any member country to pass through a law, all meber countries (that have a say) will have to approve. I remember a few years ago when Germany set the age limit for bb-guns to 18. The EU parlament then ruled that this is illegal and the appropriate age should be 14. And so the law wass changed again.

But on the long run, I also think we're gonna get quite some hard times.

It depends how easy or difficult/expensive it will be to get a licence.  If it's just a case of applying & paying a reasonable admin fee I don't see a problem.  I expect similar rules will eventually materialise across the globe as prices come down & drones become more accessible to irresponsible people, children etc.
