So as the title says - we're a local jetski club, we are located in Denmark and we believe it could be cool if some of our more experienced members would do some cool stuff on their jetskis while being filmed. We are therefore considering buying the Phantom 4 for our club in order to make a promotional video and eventually grow in members.

The Phantom 4 is the most expensive of the phantom drones and therefore we are hesitating buying it? Is it worth the extra cash or would a cheaper drone be better? What are the differences other than the price? We'll take on a loan in the club if this drone is by far the best - we are not the types who settle.

What are you experience with the drones? What are the differences and is the Phantom 4 a better choise than e.g. the Phantom 2-3 ? I look very much forward to reading your replies!
Thank you in advance!

Kind regards

These are the jetskis we are riding in the club:

Hi, P4 would be the way to go, but if you are only making a promo video with it, why don't you hire someone with a P4 or similar? then you can see what it is capable of and then you might invest in one

It'll sure do the job, but it's not always easy keeping up with a moving object. It's even more difficult when you need to be a bit closer to get that cool detail. The following links were all shot with a phantom 4 : https://youtu.be/1hzBchsQQqs

I don't think you'll be disappointed. It won't take much to shoot and edit better than my attempts ;)

If you need videos for promotion purposes only I would recommend you hire a local drone enthusiast or professional - whatever your budget is.
If none of your club members have drone/filming experience it'll be quite some learning curve till you get good results.
And the job isn't done with filming but starts with editing.

A different thing would be if you want to offer your customers viedo clips of their ride as part of the package.
Then it makes sense to purchase a drone (and probably 2-3 back ups).
And then you want to have a team member who is familiar with flying/filming or at least very enthusiastic to learn all this.

I'm a kitesurfer myself, an I really enjoy having a drone. I took a loan to buy my drone. Best decision ever.
