Hi everyone, need some advice.

I got The A3 set up on a X8 and it flew but… was super wobbly, tried everything possible.

Airframe = X8
KDE - 5215 330KV (22in props)
KDE - 95 amp ESC (newest firmware = all settings default)
AUW = 40lbs

Drone works great with Wookong - super stable
Drone is super wobbly on A3 + drifts?

- 18 satellites and drifts multiple meters in GPS
- Tried as A3 and A3 Pro... no difference
- Have confirmed with DJI all hardware is installed properly
- Tried default gains - flew like Sh#^, super unstable and twitchy
- Increased gains helped but now everything is at 150 (but still wobbles and can’t go any higher than 150)
- decreased the braking
- calibrated all compass’s
- GPS / IMU, COG is all correct

I know the A3 is a different algorithm but at 150 gains instead of default helps but since the A3 maxed out at 150... I'm lost on what else to try.

Nothing more I can think of changing, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Can not help but want to just hear you using Sbus ?

Could you happen to provide a short video of the issue to see the extent of the wobble?

We tried 2x A3 Pro systems and they exhibit the same issue - wobble and drift in GPS.

Will try w/ RTK as well

Shame that the same systems flies perfectly with Wookong and the A3 flies horrible?

not my first setup so everything should be setup properly and calibrated as it should be, thinking sending back the unit as faulty , any comment guys?

have you checked - magnet/compass problems... your batteries much to close to the compass...  years ago with microcopter we had simular issues... would be solved to put the gps much more far away from the power system parts

To my me towards it same and thought that were interference, when a day doing a RTH to 20 meters of height think that was in house and turn off engines. DJI response "fault battery, but we take care of all the damaged DJI equipment"
Except that only the electronics was DJI
Tell that RTH does not work from the station, only from DJI GO

I'm also having a major problem like yours just much wors. I flew traight out and then let go of the stick (flying in GPS mode) an the the drone driftet 3-5 meters to the right and i little back again, and then it suddenly began to dance for three seconds, and then flying normal again. I use the default gain settings for 1000cm drone.

A3 Pro, T-motor U7 490kv, Tiger Flame 80a esc, 18" wooden props, DJI retract,

Here is the log file. The dance is about 220 seconds after power and about 140 seconds after takeoff.
