My phantom 3 won't connect to the go app after upgrading to the latest firmware.
I have rebooted my I pad air to factory settings through I tunes and reinstalled go app.
I have also tried other usb to lighting cords, delinking remote etc.

Remote is connected and controlling the craft.

Should I replace the usb with hdmi upgrade to see if the use has gone bad?

I had about twenty flights on it and have updated firmware a few times with no issues.
I have latest version of firmware installed.

What are your suggestions...

Thank you

What operating system are you running on your iPad Air? Did you notice this issue after the firmware update or did you have some good flights after updating? Do you get any sort of indication that something is plugged into the iPad, such as asking to "trust this device" or seeing the device getting power?

Thank you for the reply,
My operating system is 9.3.4

It operated perfectly with the previous version of iOS until the firmware was updated on craft to v 1.9.60.
I can still fly the craft without app.

No indication that anything is hooked up to I pad, no power showing to device  or "trust this device" prompt.

Thank you for your help, very much appreciated.

Is the RC up to date as well? Here are a few button combinations that I would like for you to try. First, I would like for you to reset the RC of any presets:

* Turn on the controller, and the aircraft should be off.
* Press C1, C2, and shutter on the controller then turn the controller off.
* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller and link the remote.

To link the RC manually without the app, use this button combination:

* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller.
* Press C1, C2, and the record button on the controller, then the controller will beep like D-DD.
*Let go all fingers, press the wheel on the right side of the controller and then the first light of the controller will become blue and it will constantly beep DDDD.
* Use a pen to click the linking button on the aircraft and hold for 3-5 seconds, and then take the pen off the aircraft and wait, it will be linked soon.

The only other way to rule out a hardware issue is to try another mobile device and USB cable to see if it connects. If the issue persists, you can try to replace the USB board on the RC is you wanted the HDMI Output Board upgrade anyway. Your only other option would be to send the unit to the Europe Support Center for a repair service.

Jamie, what does this key command do to the RC?

* Press C1, C2, and shutter on the controller then turn the controller off.
* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller and link the remote.
doing this whole proceedure fixed my 'no connect to go app" problem, P3P

This key command will reset the RC, like resetting RC to factory default.
You may have a try.
