Has anyone used these Adjustable filters on P3/P4s.
Neewer ND2-ND400 Adjustable Filters. £14.67
Just stumbled on them on ebay.
Worth a try??

Yes, I have it. Real pain to unscrew the Phantom lens and screw it on, the threads are very delicate on the P3 and the original lens is near impossible to remove sometimes.

It seemed to work ok, I'm not an expert, but did what I expected. The adjuster ring feels very loose but it didn't move in flight. You can adjust the filter while the P3 is hovering so need to even land.

However I have noticed a lens flare sometimes when using it, don't know if this is a problem with the filter or not.

I just purchased a Zomei adjustable after seeing some positive reviews. I have not used it in flight yet but a 'bench' test seems pretty good. No 'x' pattern noted that I have seen on an adjustable ND filter I got once for a DSLR. It seems pretty neutral in the intended range (there are dots on the ring) If you go far beyond the dots (to maximum) you get a definite color shift.

I don't leave it on, mainly because I'm not convinced I should be using it except for that 'cinema' look. So much to learn and practice ND filters are quite a way down the list. Also the lens cap / gimbal holder I use won't fit over the nd filter.

My friend uses one for his P3P (don't know the brand) and he seems to really like it.

Can you give me a link for the Zomei adjustable ones.

I prefere the fixed ND filters to the variable ones, usually they less prone to interfere with the image quality. I use the 3 DJIs (ND 4, 8, 16) but they're pretty expensive.

You can search in amazon for Phantom nd filter and see lots of options.

I have an adjustable CPL filter that I got on Ebay... I'd say it's decent.. Great for sunny / ocean / water but not like a life changer. Personally, I'd like to try out some other ones. But def worth a try!
