Hi all,
My Phantom 3 Advance arrives this week, having had a good look through the forum I am concerned by some of the problems shown here.
I have watched the video on how to update the firmware on both the drone and remote once I get mine.

What would you recommend for me first few flights?.
Can you recommend any other apps?
What pit falls should I look out for?

1.  Don't worry about what you read on forums.  The problems you read are often caused by the owners themselves.
The majority of users are out having fun flying and don't bother to post a story about ... I had another safe, easy flight.
2.  Download the manual and start reading before you get your Phantom.
3.  When you are ready to fly, do it in a wide, open area, well away from trees and buildings.
4.  Just stick with DJI Go until you know all about your Phantom.

My advice would be to fly the aircraft as it is and forget about doing updates. More new owners get into trouble trying to do firmware updates straight out of the box.
