I posed this question in the "Discussion" forum, but despite a lot of reads I got zero responses, so I thought I'd try in here.

This might seem like a crazy question, but the answer would be helpful....

Where is the sensor(s) in the Osmo that determines its orientation (roll pitch yaw) in space?  I'm assuming it is in the camera head (or somewhere in the gimbal)... but I suppose it could be in the handle.

I ask because I am working on a hack that would help use the Osmo remotely.  For my project to work the sensor has to be in the camera head or gimbal, not in the handle... I just don't want to waste my time/energy/money if I am heading in the wrong direction with this.

Thanks all!

Hi, we dont' recommend you hack your Osmo.  You can contact dev@dji.com if you're interested in SDK

LOL, yeah I'm sure DJI doesn't recommend hacks.

Thanks and I appreciate the response, but no not interested in SDK, what I'm considering working on is purely hardware, not software.  I just don't want to waste the money and time buying another Osmo for parts if I'm heading down the wrong path... just knowing in which half the sensor(s) are located is all I really need to know.
