I nearly sent the Z axis back for a refund because it wasn't living up to my expectations but now I seem to have hit the tension sweet spot and I think it's awesome! Still a little bit of bounce here and there but overall I'm very impressed and well worth the extra expense, weight and bulk.

I think that will be as smooth as it gets with the z-axis. Good job.

It's a great tool, but is really quite limited. I've seen people on youtube without the z-axis getting completely smooth shots. You'll notice some shots nothing in frame moves or bounces but you 'feel it' as the camera perspective changes slightly. It performs better for fast action movements, rather than the slow mellow drone style.

And people give you a funny look with that thing bouncing around

It's a great tool, but is real ...

Thanks M & R, I was walking down by a canal the other day with the osmo and the z axis and somebody thought I was from Google mapping the waterways.

I'm curious - are you also ninja walking? I assume so but just checking.

No ninja walk just a normal stroll. The Z axis is in it's flashlight orientation and I'm concentrating a bit to hold it steady to minimize the bounce.
