Yes, have one on my P3S. Before mod was getting out anywhere between 600m to 1000m depending where I was at. I've just did the mod about a week ago, and have been out three times so far. First test area got out to 1000m, that's where it was only 600m/700m before. Second test got out 1300m, third test 1700m. Those were at a new area that was part lite industrial first half and some residential last half of the 1700m.
the phantom 3 4K uses the same system as the phantom 3 standard
Controller ( 5.4 ghz signal )
video ( 2.4 ghz signal )
In this case you need to find something that can manage both signals , i recomend you the dbs Range extender , its the range extender for the phantom 3 standard and it works with P 4K
i did the the upgrade to my phantom 3 standard , and it works amazing with the wifi system i get 3 times the range i was getting with the stock antenna
i already try 3 different types of range extender's and the DBS was the best
so there are 3 options ( before anything DJI-Ken is right if you mod your controller it will void the warranty on the controller )
1 .) use one hole of the actual antennas to use external cables and install the antenna
2.) use the 2 holes of the actual antennas to add the 2 pigtail for video and drill 1 hole for the pigtail cable for the rc signal your controller is going to look like this
3) buy the following module and buy also the dbs antenna
the module below is a good looking mod but i already try it and i get less range with it , if you buy it its just to get the 3 pigtail module to connect the dbs This is the (argtek antenna )
I use a MUCH less sophisticated extender - the parabolic reflectors that cost $20 from Amazon and work great. In open areas they about double your range and through trees it also is a significant improvement. May not be as long a range as these expensive models, but there is no modifications either and sure works great.

Yea those little reflectors works nice
you get a little more range i already try it and it works , but the range extender give you 3 or 4 times the range you are getting right now , so thats why people modify the controller
because the reflector double the range but the extenders give you 3 or 4 times the ranges and it makes the difference
this is a nice solution for people that dont want to mod the controller and only want a little more meters of range
if you want nice range , definitely the best solution its loghtbridge
with light bridge im able to reach 5 km with no modification at all
and if i add a DBS range extender im sure im going to be able to reach more that 7 KM or may be 10km but i didnt modify my controller yet because with my phantom 3 pro there is no point of flying more that 5 km away ( because of the battery )
( i love this range im really happy because i can fly wherever i want without losing signal )
I went the way of the cheap argtek knock off from China.
$39 from fleabay.
Two flat panels for the WiFi and a taller whip for the 5.8 Ghz.
Stock I was getting 1500 to 2000 feet.
Tonight I got 4700 feet over a closed airport.
It was worth it for the controller adapter alone.
Now I have standard screw on fittings for other antennas trials.

I once used a Windsurfer mod as their called. And I got nowhere x2 the range, because on the P3S it's only helping with the RC control signal and does nothing for the wifi (video) signal. It did help some, but my video downlink would drop too soon for my liking. You didn't say which Phantom you have.

Yea those Argtek antennas works nice when you are in FCC mode ,
but in my case i was in CE mode and with the argtek i get less range than the stock antenna
well that was my experience , and with the DBS i get 3 times almost 4 times the range in open areas
