Hi Ken the photo attached shows the file he recorded (timelapse of NYC) filmed using DJI Go app and video pulled from his phone - you can see the resolution... can you explain how this would be? Is it really 4K or is the phone upscaling a 1080p file to 4K?

can confirm this! I could record some 4K motion timelapse with my iPhone 7+ with an old firmware in late december too. With the current 1.5.0.70 / 3.1.8 Firmware / App i can only record 720p timelapse! {:4_154:}
Sorry. This software is so fu**ed up!

So, I've had a more recent issue where the timelapse will get about 40% complete, then just stop midway through the timelapse and 'drop', so it will be smooth then suddenly (on playback) look like it lost power and stop abrupt. Anyone else experience this?

Anyway, sum up the issues with Timelapse

- Android: max resolution 1080p
Issues - max resolution not always possible depending on device
Timelapses drop/stop midway through

- iPhone: max resolution 4K (sounds like latest update is now lower res)
Issues - judder/shake when timelapse guaranteed

Wish they told us that there was a bug.  Looked at my footage today and notice how everything is 720p...

Or a different work-around:
let the Osmo do the motion and run an App that is able to shoot raw pictueres in Timelapse mode?

I don't think there is another app besides DJI GO that supports the Osmo Mobile Motion Timelapse feature. I was going to try it with FilmicPro, but no luck... If anyone knows of one, please list it here.

How about this:
(You need 2 similar? Phons):
attach #1 running the dji app and create the motion-Timelapse
attach #2 running an app that is able to shoot raw picture sequences but keep #1 runnig
Start the Go app using #1 and take the pictures using #2

A little less complicated:
#1 runs the photo app and is mounted on the Osmo
#2 runs the Go app and is connected via Bluetooth

Good to hear, enjoy your weekend.

Hey, still wondering If the Oslo mobile will ever get an A to B panning mode that records footage while the Pan path is being automated?

Pardon my comment and forum "wrong section "conduct, not typically a forum participator. But I haven't seen anywhere about a request for, or potential firmware up date for:

"Timed Motion Pan Using Video without Lapse". Essentially Motion Timelapse without the timelapse. Just a start point, and an end point. How long you want the video to last. Then bam! This would be much smoother, would be able to reproduce it. It seems the osmo mobile would easily have the software for this feature. Just an app update? Any comments help if this is possible in some way. No I do not want to 180 or 330 photo, or have to use my thumb and move it slow. I want video resolution with timed video panning? Start here. End here. 5 or 10 or X  second video. 4k or 1080 doesn't matter. Iphone 7+

I am still awaiting this feature! its the only thing this piece of kit is missing !
