Any suggestion on how to recover the phantom from a loss of control link (switching off the transmitter) NOT using a return to home function.
On the software assistant I cant seem to find a way to disable the return home function and I cant find any information on how i would recover it without the RTH.

Any time the Phantom looses control signal it will do the RTH function. Depending on how you have it set up in the assistant it will climb to the height you tell it and do as you set it up. The choice in RTH is yours in the assistant. For the best recovery from ncase you lose sight and control I would alway want it to return to its take off position (home)  to make recovery eaiser. If you set it to land when signal is lost you could very easy lose it if you don't know wher it's at. GPS RTH has save us many a time.
