I'm wondering if anyone has heard of possbily being able to buy the phone gimbal that I could switch out with the Osmo I currently have. as if it were another camera?

The osmo mobile gimbal is not detachable,or do you mean the device holder? The device holder is the only one available at this stage

nigelbrinkmann is correct, the OSMO Mobile is one piece and the Mobile's gimbal cannot be sold separately.

Just chat with Osmo pre-sale service and they literarily laugh at me when smiley when I ask the question about having the mobile gimbal sold separately!!! It seems they forgot their early customers... They are learning very well from Apple how to fool customers, since Osmo is sold in Apple Stores!!!

Osmo mobile is all one part. Maybe they will release a mobile holder but i doubt it for other osmos
