I would like to know in what condition P4 returns home at max speed.
I tried it yesterday but it was just flying at normal speed.
Also I tried pressing return home button but it did not activate the bird to return home. I had to use the app.
I am not sure what I missed just yet.

It does not RTH at max speed, it is a set speed.
Did you press and hold the RTH button for a few seconds?
Out of curiosity, what was the reason for using the RTH?

Press and hold the RTH button.  Press again to cancel.
You will hear beeping to confirm RTH activated.

RTH is a slow driver and comes home at 10 metres/sec.
You are a faster driver and if you push the right stick forward or cancel RTH and resume control, you can do 16 m/s (if object avoidance is disabled) or faster in Sport Mode.
