DJI, will the current Zenmuse GH4 gimbal support the new Lumix GH5 camera?  Or is there a new gimbal in development specifically for GH5?

There is a pretty significant dimension and weight difference between the two cameras and button configuration. I would not be able to guarantee that the GH5 would fit and balance properly on the GH4 gimbal, nor that the connections would be in the same place. At this time, there are no plans to create a gimbal specific to the GH5. Given the release of the Ronin Mx, which can be used as either a ground use gimbal or aerial gimbal to the M600, you could pair the GH5 to that and have a large range of lens options.

Could you clarify how the footage isn't smooth? Do you see a lot of vibration, or are the pan and tilt movement jerky?

At this time, yes.

Hi, NO! It is not possible to use an GH5 on a Z15 Gimbal.
I get one and tested it on my Z15-GH4 Gimbal.

What was the issue with fitting it?
Was it the physical size or balance?
Or just the HDMI connectivity?
If the base plate vs lens clamp height is okay, it should be able to be re-balanced...

Hi, the issue is the physical size of the GH5.
The baseplate of the Z15 have to be approx. 5mm
lower to fit into the lens-hole of the Z15.

Maybe i will try to develop a baseplate that fix the
physical problem. What's happen witch balance? I
will see!

I flew my second flight today with the GH5 on my S900 - Z15GH4.  Its incredible.

I got the guys who do all my drone development - https://www.buildyourowndrone.co.uk/ to assist in the mod for the gimbal - it turned out very easy to do and they did a fantastic job - you can't tell it from a brand new one!  The Gimbal performs perfectly - just a few 'wheel weights' on one side to balance and its flawless, no vibration issues or anything.  I get to use the 45mm 1.8 now which is just incredible.  I solved the HDMI problem easy by going to Aerialpixels.com and getting a right angle slimline HDMI type A to type C female lead made.  $30   Job done.

So, you didnt had to modify the Z15 cage anyway? just adding some weights to balance and a new hdmi, is that all?
and you still using EXT or changed to LB?

Greetings - The cage had to be modified slightly to make it higher - I will post pics shortly.  It doesnt have to be wider, and you have to take the rubber viewfinder cover off the GH5 so it clears the top of the gimbal.  Other than that, it needs 25gm of weight on the left hand side arm to balance.

I gave up on the Z15 for two reasons. Not easy to modify and bad lense tollerance. I decided on Gremsy H3 allowing balance with multiple lenses and smooth. The Ronin MX can't handle "light" cameras.

Recently I specially bye Z15  for a rework for my gh 5.  At the moment, I have drew the front frame and the bottom plate, and am going to milled them.
Changes in sizes:
Lens higher by 4.5 mm
Front forward 4.5 mm

For proper balancing,  platform should be 2 mm lower.

The other axes can be balanced.
