i think, if you're trying to increase range or transmission quality, you'll need to modify the remote, and probably install an antenna mod. If you wanted longer range, a phantom 3 advanced would have probably been a better choice, since it uses lightbridge, has vps, etcetera, and antenna mods aren't cheap. Anyway, i find a range of around a mile spectacular for wifi. ive never heard of range like that before dji came.

I take it you have not seen the mod I speak of.
It raises the transmit power from 100mw to 500mw in steps.
It costs nothing as it's just software hacking your controller and bird.

And yes the lightbridge systems are better but you do have to draw a budget line somewhere.
