Just got my OSMO mobile yesterday in the mail. After charging, I followed the instructions online and on the manual. I turned on the Bluetooth on my Iphone 6s+; went to DJI GO app, selected my device (OSMO mobile), as soon as I click "connect your device", the app minimizes/crashes. Sometimes it crashes as soon as I start the DJI GO application. Not sure why? I looked everywhere online for solutions. Couldn't find anything.

I have Iphone 6s+ with latest 10.0.2 IOS and DJI GO app v2.9.2 (2620). I tried deleting app and reinstalling it twice. I even created new account.

Try removing the app again and performing a Hard Reset on your iPhone. Turn on Bluetooth, reinstall and see if the issue is resolved.

I tried soft reset. Hard reset will erase everything on my phone. After soft reset, I've noticed that whenever I leave OSMO mobile on, and bluetooth on, DJI Go instantly crashes as soon as I click on app. When I leave bluetooth off, and OSMO mobile on, DJI Go crashes instantly when I click on "connect to device". Same thing when I leave bluetooth on, and OSMO mobile off, DJI GO apps works until i click "connect to device"

I don't use much bluetooth. It is always off. I deleted previous bluetooth devices, while trying to connect OSMO mobile.
I did update DJI GO v3 firmware today morning first thing when I woke up.

Is there way to return this?

Update...
I did hard reset without loosing data content. I still have to update all of my apps and network settings now. Anyhow, HARD RESET didn't help. I'm returing this junk tomorrow.

There is nothing running in the background nor any Bluetooth devices. I deleted all of my Bluetooth devices. I even tried this on my iPhone:

"Launch the Settings app from your Home screen.
Tap on General.
Tap Background App Refresh.
Toggle Background App Refresh switch to the right of the app for which you wish to disable it to off. The switch will become grayed-out when toggled off."

Every single time the app crashes I get the error:

- Yes I restarted the app
- Yes I re-installed the app
- Yes I restarted the phone
- Yes I downgraded and upgraded the OS trying app installs on both versions

The same App worked on my wifes iPhone 5SE running iOS 10.0.2 which is how I was able to complete the setup.

There's a new DJI Go iOS app update released last night, try it and see if it improves.  DJI Go has some compatibility issue with iOS 10

I'm not doing a DFU... and I did 2 full iTunes restores... 1 down to iOS 10.0.2 and one up to iOS 10.1.0.  There is clearly a null being passed into a dictionary which you can see via the logs and a DFU or full restore has nothing to do with an App bug.

I've been an iOS Engineer for almost 9 years and I'm extremely confident this is not a "just restart your phone and see what happens" bug.

@joeblau - nope, no apple watch.

I completely agree with you, resetting iphone will not solve the problem. This is a DJI go app compatibility with IOS 10 in Iphone 6s+ and Iphone 7 issue. I tried using my mother's 5C iphone and it worked fine.

@DJI-Thor - Yes I downloaded latest DJI GO V3 yesterday and it didn't help.

It's not specific to a model.  My best friends iPhone 6+ works fine and I just tried it with my colleagues black iPhone 7 plus and it connected fine (although it did crash for other reasons which I didn't diagnose).

This is interesting. Does this have to do anything with GSM unlocked phone or not? My'n is unlocked. Either way, I called DJI for refund. Sorry DJI, its your loss. Looking forward to Mavic, hopefully I don't run into same issue... DJI...

Not sure, and I understand there are currently celebrations in China. Anyway, I strongly believe the issue is within the DJI GO App.

I have tested on Iphone / Ipad 10.0.2 : gimbal locked, not responding. Same on Android. That's why for me that's  a DJI App problem...as it occured yesterday, when I have updated the App.

As for DJI, they say "To be honest yes, we are already working towards the resolution and communicating with Apple as well to have this resolved."

I have the same issue with iphone 6+ and the latest firmware (Feb 2017).  Also dont hold your breath for the Mavic and the DJI customer service, i have an issue in that the supplied cable does not push video through to the phone from the controller, DJI have it on their website as an issue and have offered to repair a brand new not 12 hours old device!  

So thats two DJI devices bought in the last week and both a pile of useless xxxx

I'm on an iphone 7 and my app crashes instantly when I try to record 4k video. Tried all of the ideas above. Nothing is working.
