Hi all! Just started using a Nvidia Sheild K1. Very happy with it apart from one issue (so far).

When I look at flight logs it saves location as a suburb 3 miles away? Even though the map is correctly showing where I've flown. I have flown at a different spot and the suburb was correct for that flight. I seems just this one area, which is my main flying spot is coming up wrong suburb. I tried my iphone at this spot and it saved the correct suburb name. Any idea why this happening? Anybody else had a similar issue? I have installed a GPS app and it works fine and showing exactly where I am and picking up a lot of satellites.

Any help would be great as it is pretty annoying more than anything.

What exactly is the problem.
Can you explain it differently?
Are you saying that the mapped track is correct (as it should be) but the flight record has a different name for the location?
If that is the issue, it's got nothing to do with the tablet and will be the way Google Maps labels general areas

Try changing the location settings on the shield to gps only mode and try again.

Yes just wrong name. But name its showing is miles away. I could understand next suburb over but not three?

It will be a Google maps issue - nothing to do with your Phantom of the tablet.
It's just the way they name their map sheets - not intended to be a precise location.

Hey set to gps only but didn't work. Same problem. Shows Flight Record as suburb 3 miles away. Any more ideas? Thanks

Yes ... and your iPhone app doesn't use Google Maps.
It's got nothing to do with your location.
It's all about the name Google Earth gives that map sheet and it will contain several suburbs, only on of which will be in the title.

Apple and Android use different map suppliers.

Your GPS gives latitude and longitude ... but it has nothing to do with maps or suburb names.

Aloha gaz,

     This is not as obvious a question as it may seem, but do you have locations enabled in the pull-down status tab.  Sometimes, people go straight into settings and make all the modifications without ever turning on locations.  It will also ask you if you want locations active in DJI GO.

     If you do not have locations enabled, Google will try to use other resources to try to locate your position.  

     But, most likely the problem is as described by Geebax.

It has nothing to do with his tablet or the app.
It's just the way Google Maps name their map sheets.
Nothing to worry about at all.
