I just tried this combination today and unfortunately I have to report that the audio cable doesn't have enough clearance to connect at the iPhone end. The jack is too close to the Osmo Mobile frame.

You should be able to slide the phone further from the frame to accommodate the plug. You can then adjust the slider on the gimbal to counter the shift in weight.

I did realise this and maybe its just me, but I don't want to use the frame in a way it wasn't designed.

To hold my iPhone 6 balanced in there in the first place, I actually have to have it positioned out from the frame anyway. As long as it is secure in the top and bottom clamps, you should be good.

The manual actually suggests moving the phone out for balancing.
