Not yet. Just the MAVIC aircraft kit and a few accessories. Keep checking the DJI Store for the release....

As a person walks by while you wear the goggles, you start screaming and cursing and people think you have gone nuts, and as the police approach you to find out what the deal is.  You have tears in your eyes and you tell em your drone crashed, but you are happy because the drone is being replaced for $79.

We have no idea, I though I heard on one of the website of people talking about it that it may be $699.
But until it's on the website with pricing, we will not know.

what really annoys me are all the "tests" or "showings" result in:

$699

With Yuneec's SkyView goggles at $250 which both seem have a good build quality.
The big differences;
Yuneec's Skyview - 720p, range 1mile (Typhoon H)
DJI Goggles - 1080p, range 4.3miles assuming max Mavic Pro range?, -top resting middle headband which usually provides more comfort.

All the info we have is from the live stream announcement or has DJI published any other info on the Goggles yet?

Thanks!!

Since it's only supposed to work with the Mavic, there may not be a HDMI, because then it work with the Inspire and Phantom/HDMI module.

$699 will make it a no-go for me.    It's a cool feature but not anywhere near $699 cool.

Agreed - the drone costs $795 but the goggles cost only $100 less?

I presume this is a stunt to make it seem 'cheap' at only $399 later...

Yeah it's likely to be north of $400.    For that money I can finally purchase a VR headset, which I would opt to do rather than goggles.   It's a shame because they look really fun.    I'll wait for aftermarkets.

Because the Mavic uses OcuSync to wirelessly to the DJI goggles, aftermarket goggles will not work unless they have the capability to have video with the Lightning or USB cable.

That's more than likely the price.

Alanta-Hobby also over guessed the price for other DJI products. They build the store page in anticipation of a product release and just stick their best guess price on it as a place holder. I do the same thing with sites I design, someone just checked the 'show page' box by accident to make the page live. And as for a possible HDMI port making the Goggles compatible with the P4 and Inspire.... isn't that a good thing, expands your customer base by leaps and bounds.

That's more than likely the price.

If only we could order it in Europe for the same price in euros, i.e. EUR 700, from the DJI website. The Mavic Pro is >34% more expensive when purchased directly from the website (i.e. $1350 dollars vs $999; I know about VAT etc but this really is way too much of an uplift)

Me neither, but if the goggles aren't (affordably) available then it puts a big dent in the fun of the drone.

I'm the "poor" guy from South Africa that has a 14:1 currancy exchange rate to take note of. I bought Blitzwolf VR glasses and have to use Litchi when I fly with the glasses as it has a VR option.  It is really very nice for the $25 I paid (plus $25 for Litchi). I'm probably buying a Mavic in addition to my P4 and will use the same glasses.  Will I be much better off with the DJI glasses?

It does not look as cool as the latest fashion Fat Shark etc. stuff... but I really found it very useful and enjoyable at a fraction of the price!

With any Top shelf equipment like that...$700 is going to be right in the ball park. There are cheaper option out there, however I promise they are not transmitting 1080P from those distances.
Tat for Tat DJI usually comes up with better prices with more bang for the buck then the competition.

I agree they are top shelf equipment, but they serve a very narrow purpose.    I can't look at specialized goggles that transmit video signal from my drone and justify paying $200 more than home VR goggles like Occulus Rift or HP that allow me to do a multitude of home entertainment activities -- and are no less high tech than the goggles.

If they were more in the $400 neighborhood I'd figure out a way to make it happen.    Can't do it for nearly the price of the drone itself.

Because the Mavic uses OcuSync to wirelessly to the DJI goggles, aftermarket goggles will not work ...

If DJI's goggles won't send video to their goggles from a Phantom or Inspire, there's another way. Litchi has just released a new app called "Litchi Vue", which allows you to wirelessly send your drone's live video feed to any iPhone running this app. This operates separately from the main iOS device attached to your RC and controlling your drone. And, like I said, it's wireless. They use WiFi for this feature to work. If your far outlay from any cell towers, I understand it'll still work. Set the iPhone up as a hotspot and the main iOS device connected to your RC will send its duplicate video feed, minus the telemetry clutter, to the additional iPhone, preferably installed a 20 dollar pair of goggles.

Anyway, Google "Litchi Vue" since they can explain it much better than I can. The key feature is it's totally wireless so if your kid wants to watch the drone's view (FPV) from your Phantom while you're flying it, he or she can easily do that with this Litchi Vue app running on another iPhone and installed in one of those 20 dollar sets of goggles. Litchi is charging $5 for the app itself.

What is the LATENCY???

Most other wireless digital video technologies have several seconds of latency.  This does not matter for watching a movie.  But it matters a lot when trying to fly a drone.  DJI has s strong lead in this respect to all other wireless video technologies I have seen to date.
