Because my P3S and dji go has been saying one minute I'm on the latest firmware, and then another time telling me I'm on 1.2.4+, I decided to try and set it straight.
Worst thing I thought could happen was having to downgrade using the info available on here.
So I set the update going, it said it would take around 30 mins. Around 90 seconds later it had finished. Same thing happened when I first bought it, as I just followed all the instructions that it gave me, and it took about 5 minutes if that.
Wondering if the conflict was caused by my new battery not being up to date, could explain why sometimes it said up to date, sometimes not?
So, time will tell if it does the same thing again. In the meantime, I had a quick test flight, and got 460 metres no problem, just wasn't in my usual place where I can fly as far as it'll go.

i dont think theres "better judjement" just "better luck".

meaning that not everyone has problems with new FW.
i for one am better off with newer FW than the previous one 1.5, against what everyone else on here is saying.

i tried the downgrade and had some issues so i upgraded again and the process took the same time scale as yourself,90sec.

i have no answer for your issues(sorry) but as for upgrading,if it doesnt work for you our peers have found a way to downgrade again so no harm done

Hello Kwaka Pants, may I know what mobile device you are using? After upgrading, the led on gimbal is solid green, right?
Have you tried to delete APP and re-install it to double check?
You could also check upgrading log for us, here is the instruction:
1. Enable Viewing hidden files in your OS. Below are the websites where you can check how to show the hidden files in your PC. For The Windows System: http://windows.microsoft.com/en- ... den-files=windows-7 For The Mac System: http://ianlunn.co.uk/articles/qu ... mac-os-x-mavericks/
2.Enter the root directory of the SD card, then find the hidden folder MISC and enter it. There is LOG folder in it.
3.The LOG txt file is under the LOG folder.

Hello, thank you for the reply. I'm currently using a sony experia M4 aqua, but the first time I did it, it was with the nexus 7 2013. The phone seems to run the app just fine, never had any issues with it at all.

As an addition, I flew it again tonight, but with my nvidia shield. Constant disconnections, whereas before it was perfect. Hmmm. So looks like i may be visiting the downgrade thread lol.
