I have a Phantom 2 Vision Plus without the camera and gimbel.
Now I plan on attaching a cheap China gimbel and my GoPro to the drone.
Most of the videos I have seen show how people solder the power cables of the gimbal to the drone board.
However I also found information on the schematics of the contacts of the vision, that are now just hanging around unused without the gimbel/camera.
There I saw, which of the wires are actually provide power to the stock gimbel. Is there any reason, why I could not connect the China gimbel to the connectors of the vision to get the power from them. I my mind it is a much simpler solution than open up the drone and solder it to the board.
However I have not seen anybody doing that yet in my research which makes me a bit suspicious.
Can anybody give me some insight on this?
