You have it backwards.  The purpose of the heatsink is to ensure it does NOT get too warm.  The heatsink will be warm.  Without a heatsink it might get hot.

Yes some components like the ESC & image processor can generate heat.  So the purpose of the heatsink is to draw the heat away from those components and allow enough surface area for the air to dissipate that heat.  If the heatsink is sufficiently large and the airflow over it is sufficient it may not get much warmer than the surrounding air.  

Personally I hope it does not have any fans.  Fans require vents that suck in dust & grit.

It's all speculation until it arrives but...  None of the current video reviews I have seen mention that it gets excessively warm.

Yes, you can fly one battery after another all day long.

It will not get to hot to touch after flight.
I've even left it sitting on the table powered up for 20 minutes and it's gets fairly warm but certainly not too hot to touch it.

It does have a fan and it comes on after a minute or so of leaving it powered up and not flying.

As I got to touch it at the flagship store after it's 25 minutes of flight time in the netted display area, it is definitely warm but not much hotter than mobile phones playing intensive games or using VR apps. And not as hot as a Samsung Note 7.

Heatsinks don't cause problems.  They SOLVE problems.

You seem to be worried about a lot of things.  You posted a link worrying that it's too small?  You post a link that it's too hot?  Yet none of the pre-release reviews mention these issues...

Perhaps the best course of action for you is to wait long after a few thousand units have been shipped and tested by other customers.  Read people's feedback.  Then consider the Mavic after you are 100% sure.

I let it sit on the table for 20 minutes and it got fairly warm, but not HOT.
And yes, after about a minute the internal fan starts up.

Pretty sure the Mavic has some awesome air cooling capabilities.  (wind anyone?)
