My Phantom 3 Standard is limited to 500 meters distance. The DJI site  lists under the specs Phantom 3 Standard distance FCC 1000m, CE 500m.

I'm here in the U.S. since I'm limited to 500m does this mean mine is set for CE 500m Europe?

Is there a way to change the distance to 1000m?

You cant change the mode manually. The CE/FCC mode is set by your GPS location. You should automatically be on FCC and achieving 1000mtrs in good conditions away from interference.

Phantoms all have a user adjustable Max Distance limit and it's most likely that yours is set to 500 metres.
If you disable the Max Distance setting, your Phantom will fly as far as it has radio signal.
This has nothing to do with FCC/CE transmission power settings.

Yea, you'd think I should but I only get the 500m. Clear line of site too.

Just disable max distance.

When I fly tomorrow I'll disable the max distance. Thanks to all for the info.
