I just received the following email:


Good afternoon,

Here is what we know regarding the much anticipated arrival of the DJI Mavic Pro.

We have received word from DJI that our order will not arrive until some time in November. As disappointing as that is, please rest assured that the same is true for all dealers. We were not given a specific reason for the delay but as most of you know, a new product launch is always tough no matter the maker.

For those that called us this weekend requesting information on the expected ship date of their order, we told you that we were operating on the assumption that our order would ship as originally scheduled.  That was based on the most current info we had at the time. We only received the revised shipping information from DJI this morning.

We apologize for this delay. Stay tuned though. We expect regular updates from DJI and promise to pass them on to you as soon we get them!

As I remember, DJI  mentioned this on 27th last month, mid-oct for pre-orders, Nov for dealers  and official stores.

It matches what my original promised ship date was and still remains -- Nov 1st - 15th.     It had that estimate when I ordered through Amazon, and it still says that on my order status.

I'm wondering if there strategy is to build up a larger stock prior to shipping so that both dealers and DJI pre-order customers receive theirs at roughly the same time. OK everyone's is late but at least it's fair.
