New here and new to Drones. I noticed the other day that my phone, Motorola Razor Max, shows that it's battery is charging when plugged into the remote or the aircraft. Is there a way to shut that off? It doesn't seem to effect the remote's battery life much since it's plugged in for only a few minutes at a time.
I don' t know. Just thought it would drain the remote battery too fast. It hasn't though. I never thought about one thing. Both aircraft and remote would act as emergency power sources if the need comes up.
When you connect your phone to allow the controller to supply the data to the app, there is a tiny current that your phone picks up and indicates as charging.
But the trickle is too small to do any actual charging.
How do you get your phone to charge from the remote?!
When I plug it in, I get a charging notification for only a split second, then it goes back to normal and in not-charging mode. This is with an iPhone 6S. Same goes with iPad Mini 4.
Hi billhines66, when connect your smart phone to controller, can you access to "Camera" page? I mean you can connect your phone to remote controller properly, right?
Just as labroides explained, it's too small to do any actual charging.
