As far as I know, yes.  There are two different batteries though, the normal 980mah and the new high capacity 1225mah.

That depends on the situation and camera you use.
For example, the standard battery will last about 60 minutes under ideal conditions with X3, while the high capacity battery will last about 90 minutes.
