WHAT?!?  They're taking the time to prepare additional Mavic's for shipment??  THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!  

What is insane to me is that they are actually building more Mavics BEFORE shipping them out.    Who does this?????

It's because its a Chinese company getting in bed with Apple who crowd funded the production of their new product which they released very early to compete with a camera company drone in order to screw over the consumers on purpose with great malice of forethought

Don't forget to pick your toys back up once you've finished chucking them out the pram.

The shipping poll thread that has seen 4K views and only received a few dozen responses from forum members that have had units ship.

Wonder how many actually shipped in the first batch, when the next batch will ship, what the pre-order batch size was, and when they plan to be caught up with demand?

Wish DJI would provide updates with a little more detail. I don't even care what the delay was at this point, I'd just like to know what the schedule actually is going forward.

I honestly think they shipped all units ordered before october. I ordered on the 29th pretty late and its on its way.

I'm going to cancel. I rather deal with Best Buy and Apple when it hit the stores

Well, as long as you didn't purchase the "Wait More" combo as people who ordered on the 27th haven't shipped yet.

stopped shipping? it never shipped! I wouldnt call handful of people saying theirs shipped. DJI build drones, not Lamborghini's. I'll call it shipped when a few hundred users claims so.

Ordered Oct28th. No update. No tracking. Chat told me 1 hour ago I was in the first batch.....and don't know when the first batch shippings end. He also told me that only Mavic ordered on 27th was shipped. What a liar. He was talking to me like if I was a piece of shit even if I was polite.

What a bad company without any ethical practice.

I believe that's just the current ship date for new orders...  My Oct 3rd and 5th orders still show as arriving Nov. 2.

Me too, I just ordered the Mavic on Sept 28th, no shipping info yet. In the past when I ordered many items in one order, they waited until all were available to ship. So this time I broke my order into 3 orders hoping to at least get the Mavic soon.
1.Mavic
2. Bag and two battery
3. Everything else

I'm thinking... it looks like BB is a better option, with return period and delivery by Oct 31. Even with 6% taxes on the negative side. I've ordered on Sep 29 with bag and extra battery, which will be shipped, my guess, after all combos.

I was able to get a refund after opening a dispute on Paypal.  That being said, it took some back and forth over 3 days .  Here's the play by play, just to give you an idea of the misinformation (or at a minimum ignorance) coming from their CS department:

Day 1: I open dispute with Paypal
Day 2 am (DJI): E-mail directly from DJI indicating my order is in the process of being cancelled and refunded.  My order is moved out of the shipping queue into the "Payment review" queue (whatever the state is when you are still paying)
Day 2 am (DJI): Response to Paypal dispute from DJI, asking me to close my dispute, stating that they couldn't refund my money until the dispute was closed.  
Day 2 am (Me): I call to confirm with a Paypal rep that this is NOT standard procedure and that I should not close my dispute if the matter hasn't been settled.  Paypal agent confirms.
Day 2 am (Me): I add a comment to my dispute calling BS and including the information I received from Paypal.  I threaten to post details to the DJI forum and follow up with the US FTC is my money is not refunded within 24 hours.
Day 3 am (Paypal): Seller has issued a refund.  Dispute closed.

I speak today with a person who's working in dji and he told me they will ship in December because they have a production issue with the factory. I order magic 10/9 I will cancel my order today because I don't wanna get my drone in the middle of the winter. The guy I speak with is sales manager. Just for the record

Yea I figured it out. Went ahead and ordered it. Probably wont be here before my original DJI order but what the heck maybe it will still beat my fly more package ordered on the 10/3.
