This is the tactic the scammers uses to steal your money: if you close the dispute, you cannot open it again on the same product!
I'm surprised (well, at this point I'm not surprised of anything here...) that a company is using the same "tactic" to foul you.

When you open a dispute NEVER AND EVER close it, until you have your money back!!! For no reason, neither if they will promise you the moon: DON'T CLOSE IT.

It's DJI's fault that they have a drone that everybody wants, more orders than they can handle and a bunch of complete morons that can't wait complicating things even further by making multiple orders to get one Mavic?

What is it about the Mavic that so many three-year olds are ordering it?

DJI's Director of Communication should be fired.  It's bad enough to have infrequent news updates but he should not ONLY be posting the 10/25 update on DJI's News website (which a lot of people don't visit or even know about).  He should be emailing to each and every Mavic buyer so that the buyers are kept well informed and not have to resort to searching forums to figure out what is going on.

To be fair, he is only allowed to communicate what his is given permission to communicate.  It is clear DJI top "leadership" is determined to offer no information, not about the number of orders, not about the reason for the delays in the first place, and not about their progress in fulfilling on their marketing claims.

It is clear that internally at DJI the word is share nothing, be vague and hope the storm passes by soon.

Looks like Apple pushed back to December...

That doesn't mean it's pushed back to then...  That's when they expect your order to arrive if you ordered now.

Canceled my order yesterday on DJI, today got email:  

We feel so sorry for the waiting and inconvenience caused.
Please kindly note that your order has been canceled as per your request.
You will receive the refund within 3 to 5 working days.

Looks like they are happy to refund without paypal dispute. They didn't say full refund though

If BesBuy secured the first batch that was a nice move from their side. While everyone else is waiting they are riding the first wave.

Mavic isn't giving out any information, but we can collect it ourselves.

It's nice your order is on the way. About shipments/orders, it seems DJI is not 'playing' so honest with all its customers: I've ordered my Mavic on 28th of October and still nothing new in my shipping status! You are lucky! ;)
Rectifying: 28th of September!!! (not October)...

the reseller that i bought through is a huge authorized dealer for dji and they informed me that they were able to order their mavics days before the press conference revealing the mavic...so if you ordered that very day you're probably still behind very much on resellers who potentially ordered before it was even announced

It must be where you live on the dates. Mine said Oct 31st when I ordered it this morning. Very excited. Now it says Nov 1st here. Gave up the fly more package to get it early. I will worry about getting extra batteries later.

I'm not sure about Canada. I ordered mine on October 5th. BB Canada usually has a slight delay. I would simply just order it and see what date it shows for you

I pre-ordered on September 28th! Just im/patiently waiting. I did call and he said, it is showing a release date of November 15th, but it looks like because you pre-ordered, you are getting it on October 31st.

I am  bit disappointed with DJI when it comes to shipping. I just saw a video of a guy who posted that he order his on Newegg on the 15 and got it yesterday on the 25 how is that DJI explain to me this FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. I mean being your ordering directly from them and I order mine on the 1st of Oct and still mine is saying pending for shipment and of coarse as of today its not leaving just check its still pending and in hong kong its 5:30 pm so I am guessing your shipping carrier already did the pick up...

look at the description as he say he order on New Egg Oct 13 and got it yesterday 25.. How is that DJI

Its ridiculous what happen to the people who order on the day of the presentation and a couple of days earlier than the orders of new egg, if it is because they are contract to keep their word of shipping them to new egg what happen to those who order direct, what a disgrace of a company to do such a thing. Mine is still pending and nothing about shipment I will be waiting patiently about this. But its to really complain about it and how dare DJI know this that some people were ahead of the people from New Egg but they did not ship those to FIRST come FIRST SERVE...

Just got an email from DJI online support saying that shipping will resume on the 27th of October (tomorrow).
I ordered on the 5th Oct and they say I wont get it till mid december (maybe).

Howdy.  I have a Phantom 2 vision plus with a manufacturer defect that they wont acknowledge because they are a piece of crap company.  The above is a link to my thread, which is essentially a push to educate the public on DJI's customer service and how they handle problems.  I don't think a class action lawsuit will work against them because they are a Chinese company, but a grass roots word of mouth campaign to prevent people from getting shanked for Christmas may be in order.  Pop over and chime in.  Share your dissatisfaction on all the social media you have access to.  Its the only way.  They will get better or go under. Personally I hope they get better.  I would love to buy their products with the confidence that they would take care of manufacturer defects.

Very pissed off right now!! Opened a Best Buy visa just to get the Mavic Oct 31st. They just sent out a email that it will not be Nov 31st!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got a status update on mine. It's shipping on Monday. My order details for those wondering when I ordered. I hope everyone else patiently waiting get's theirs changed too.

I just went to my DJI account page and looked at my order.  The announcement was there in bold red type.  Check your order status.  That's the best update available.
