I ordered mine on 10/13 and was originally told it would arrive on 10/31. Just checked and it now stated "by Sunday 10/30"

They have warehouse hubs that they ship from in areas arcoss NA I'm sure. So local stores dont have much info as I went to the store and she told me to call the online orders as they would know more.

Technically none of us have been charged yet.   The theory is cancel one when the other ships.   

Also if you did get stuck with one you could probably easily ebay it for a profit.

I took the plunge too, I still have my order with B&H form the 30th but I won't know anything from them until tomorrow. Can't hurt to have a backup.

Just phoned best buys in Washington and 3 stores I phoned said the website says it will be delivered ...

They wouldn't be getting any stock though, as it's online only item currently. It's not store pickup, they ship it directly to you. Unless you talked to a distribution center?

thats true but when i pre orderd my unit from dji my money got taken from my account. so i cant spend that money at that moment when i know i could file a refund. They did charge.

Well, if nothing else, I learned that I had over $200 in Best Buy rewards that would have expired next month!

Dji order... il do the same thing and cancel the slowest order

My DJI order showed on my statement, and I just paid the bill.  So yes they did take my money.  I am not worried about getting it back through.  It will just be in the form of a credit card refund.  If I have a weak moment I may use it right there n DJI.com for batteries and more!!! LOL.

Here is what it says if I put in an order right now, keep in mind these are Canadian dollars with our huge taxes of 12%.

Ouch!  I will jump in here and tell everyone when I see a shipped status from BB US or from DJI.

Just tried to order from BB, and they said they are sold out

Online bestbuy is sold out fyi

I went to the Best Buy page and it still appears to be available?   Not sure what you guys are seeing....

The reason why Best Buy has Mavic, because they already got it in the warehouse in US not like other vendor still waiting for the shipment.  But according to the agreement with DJI they can only release those on 31 October.   So go get it fast as the excess stock is limited too.  The next shipment go to be xmas.

Where did you get this info?   Especially about the next shipment being closer to Christmas?

Glad I decided to open a 2nd order with BB when I did.

Looks like all of their first-batch stock is now spoken for.

I got an email today from an Authorized DJI retailer on Amazon, the seller was asking me to cancel my order and replace the order because it wasn't going to be delivered Nov 3 - Nov 7th.  I was not really happy about that.  Went to the BB site and applied for the credit card and bought me up a Mavic.  Glad I did this about an hour before they sold out preorder.  I did the 2 day shipping, so it says I am getting it Oct 31st.  Crossing my fingers....

Best buy is now sold out which means those of us who ordered have a really good shot of receiving it be the 31st /Nov. 1st date since best buy is a real compay who puts real quanties into their system and when quantity is reached, sold out comes up automatically so they don't continue to take orders for items they don't have in hand. Others could learn a thing or two from BB :cough:

It was InnovativeUAS.  I was told if I didn't cancel the order it would be cancelled for me.  I'm just like everyone else.  I want my Mavic now!!  lol.  Wouldn't it be cool to one day have Amazon Prime Air deliver your drone?  A drone delivering a drone.  Kinda like a drone stork.!

How hard is it to cancel an order from DJI? haha

Sigh... Best Buy shipping dates depend on your region. They don't sell what they don't have available. BestBuy rarely doesn't come through on a delivery date, if they don't... they offer you credit as well as your item. Seems perfect to me.

That is absolutely correct.

The Best Buy campus (their home office) is in Richfield, just a couple miles from my office. I have a lot of friends who work there (they employ a LOT of people). A good friend of mine works in their eCommerce group, which is what the company is focusing on.

The stores have no knowledge of web order status, except for what you can see from your own login as a consumer.

Even so, Best Buy ships to customers from a number of warehouses they have located around the country. Eden Prairie, Minnesota is one of them (in Best Buy's home town).

There is almost ZERO chance that they will be delivering by Nov 1. They would be ordering a lot of units from DJI, and contrary to what others may tell you, they are NOT going to be mailed one at a time via DHL. They will come in cargo containers, probably by sea, to the US, and then distributed to warehouses for Best Buy, Amazon and Apple via rail or truck.

There has simply not been enough time from when the Mavic started shipping for these units to have traveled to the US.

Shockingly, DJI has acted as their own warehouse, and has been shipping direct to customers world wide, via DHL. Can't believe they do this, as it could not possibly be cost effective for them. But there would be no reason for them to send small packages of 6 or 10 units direct to US retail stores directly from China. They would go to warehouses, and be distributed to stores from there, OR directly to customers to fulfill online orders.

A lot of people have disagreed with what I am saying, say I am wrong, and say that they are all being mailed... But the fact is that aside from a couple rumored customers of NewEgg, who's units were sent directly from DJI, no one has received a Mavic from a US retail store or site.

I am hopeful that freight will start arriving in the US in 1 to 2 weeks. It would certainly be nice to see the Mavic in stores BEFORE Thanksgiving, for the holiday shopping carnage.

I suspect you are dead on Dana.   I simply couldn't resist trying since they haven't moved the release date.

I have faith in the Oct 30th-Nov 1st dates. I believe in you, Best Buy!

If that's the case and it probably is, why does my shipping still say November 1st and now you can no longer pre-order it. Also if you click the when will it get to me link on the product page it says shipping time unavailable when earlier it said Nov. 1st.

I called their Ecommerce customer support earlier today, and they told me I would receive it by the 31st. And that info was updated a few hours prior to my call to them.
