thanks,  the pictures were to large, and  needed to be resized before it would let me upload,  kind of happy now,  will get it registered, and purchase fji care,  then put it away until I return and have time to play,,, kind of being pulled two ways at once,  but,  looking forward to following all the adventures of others, as I dream of my first flight,   hope all is well with everyone, and they also receive there soon,  Its like being in a candy store, with a  empty bag,,,   LOL

Congrats...!  Too bad it's going to be raining for a while, here.  BTW, instead of Refresh, State Farm is only $36/yr with no deductible and better coverage.

Just don't fly it inside your home, unless you have a big room.  nice...  jealous, but nice.

on the DJI Care Refresh purchase, I'd suggest everyone purchase as it's a really great program.
Pulled in two ways at once, just put the Mavic in your jacket pocket and take it with you to your other commitment
Fun times await you, I can promise you that.
Again, take your time to learn the entire aircraft and you'll be fine.
Looking forward to seeing your amazing photos/videos.

its Mukilteo Washington,   if you do not mind rain in the fall and early spring, its a great place to live,  only have a few days in the summer over 90 degrees,   stays around 75 to 80  June to Sept,,,,  anyway,  thanks  and  hope you get your baby soon,,,

just got the DJI care,   will  Register the baby when I get back,  and do all the updates,   by that time I am sure any little bugs will be public,  and  I will be able to learn for others,   Thanks again for the warm welcome and the advice,  

You are probably the only one who has a pic of their Mavic box before you even received it LOL.  Love it.  Wait for the rain to stop, go out and have a blast.

hey,  after all the hype and delay fuss,  I thought having fedex be late,  just kind of showed,  not everything happens,  correctly all the time,   But it was nice to see him arrive,   and now I have it,   but  will be a week or so before it is in the air,   Have other life issue to take care of,  then its time to play,,, Never grow old,,, buy a drone,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I'm not sure what to explain...  You can purchase insurance that covers your drone.  In my area, it was $36/yr with no deductible.  It's covered if it's lost, stolen, or damaged (regardless of how it's lost or damaged).  I gave the example of a bird strike over a lake, her answer: covered.  Purchase price is what you're reimbursed.

your never to old to have fun,  I had a Vision several years ago,  and did some early mods,  and  had a lot of fun, but  the  regs and a crappy neighbor kind of took the fun out of it,  but this is a new ball game, and the neighbor has moved,,,lol,    looking forward to taking some pictures,    Hope you get yours soon,   Never grow old  fly a drone

I don't plan on getting older in my mind.  48 and I am still jumping on the wakeboard, wake surfing, stand up Jet Ski in surf, dirt bike, ski, mountain bike, many stupid hobbies and whatever else comes my way.

Enjoyed the pics. Glad to see some Mavics finally trickling in.

I would purchase the Care Refresh when you receive it and you'll get the code. Then months later when you activate the aircraft then use the code and it will start the program from then.
But something tells me, it's first flight would be not long at all after receiving it

been looking a these folks with the damaged gimbals,  and have noticed a lot of them show pictures, of a damaged corner on the box, and do not say anything about it,  then they shake it to get the mavic box out of the shipping box,   looks that that could really cause some damage, if the plastic cover has come off the gimbal already,  So I went and looked at mine,  and all is ok,  but  I did notice a small yellow tab,  on the top of the gimbal,  like the covers on the front sensor, but its a dark yellow,  I assume it should be removed, but have not looked at any of the instructions with it yet,   I have not seen any mention of this yet,  do you have any idea what this is, and if it is to be removed,  looks like you would need a pair of tweezers to get it out, but might cause damage if its stuck, or even if it caused damage when in use,   has me a little concerned, until I find out what it is,  Has anyone else seen this on their's...

The P4 had a plastic film tab like like over one of the gimbal motors. I would just leave it.But I will inquire about it.

Just a note you have to activate DJI Care Refresh within 24-48 hours of activating your brand new model. Otherwise they don't allow you to use it. Just something you should be aware of.

My P4 still has all the stickers including the one on the gimbal.
Our pre-production did not come with any protective film covers so I have not seen it yet.
