Well, now that I've got your attention:

To all Phantom Vision and Vision+ owners out there: this Summary Guide is for YOU!
It may not be THE "Ultimate" one but I'm sure it will help a lot of phantom's owners.

I'm the kind of guy who just hate to flip thru pages and pages of userguideS looking for stuff when only the important things need to be easily found.

Soooo, I made this "little" guide for all the newbies(to be used as a startup guide) and not so newbies(to be used as a reference/reminder guide) out there.

Almost nothing is from me, except for the hours I spent looking/extracting/formatting/summarizing important information all over the place :-).
My sources were:
- Phantom User's Manual
- Naza User's Manual
- Comments found on the net
- Comments found on this site (BTW, if you see something you wrote, please let me know, I'll put your name on the list)
- Personal experiences

I've extracted what I think is important to know, remember, never forget about flying these birds.
I know, there are Wikis on the Net, but I found out there's always something missing.
Just have a look at my "Pre-Flight Checklist/Tips & Tricks" section, which, I think, is the most complete/detailed ever produce :-)

Sections list:
What to Do & Not to Do First OR After any Update
Good to Know before you Go
Starting/Stopping the Motors
DJI Vision Camera & Radar Function
Know your S1/S2 switches
Flight Environment Requirements
Pre-Flight Checklist/Tips & Tricks/Notes
      Inspection
      Power UP
      DJI Vision Apps
      Ready to Fly
Always be prepared for the Worst
        A- Lost Orientation and/or Location
        B- Lost Video/Telemetry Feeds
        C- Baby, Come Back
        D- Failsafe (RTH)
        E- GPS Lost
        F- Flyaway
        G- Vortex Ring State (VRS)
        H- Low Battery
      Landing
      Side Notes
Led Status (Phantom, RC & Extender)
Battery Status (RC & Extender & Smart)
Compass Calibration
Take Good Care of your Compass
How to avoid Flyaway
Recovering from a Flyaway
Naza-M and IOC: Why and How
Failsafe
IOC Flight - Course Lock & Home Lock
Flight Limits
Ground Station
Preventative Maintenance Checklist
Lipo Battery - Safety Advisory Notice
Phantom and RC Assistant
Camera update

This guide is assuming that you already have set your Phantom in Naza Mode (dont' forget to turn IOC on...) and that bottom position of S1 switch is set to Failsafe and NOT Manual. BUT it can also be used if you haven't made the switch yet: just forget sections about IOC/HL/CL/ATTI... But I'm telling you, you're missing a lot.
Also, I'm assuming that all your firmware/software are up to date.

I'm open to comment, improvement, correction, new section, and so on. So feel free to contact me anytime.
This is a WIP-"Work in Progress". So if we work together we could made this thing THE Guide for the Phantom Vision.

Thank you. Very helpful. Greetings Friends, Please help. Crashed and tore wire harness. Opened fuselage and replaced harness. Closed fuselage but cannot now get rid of red blinking leds/siren. Battery is good. All wires appear connected. Did do calibration using assistant softwear connection etc. Thanks, Don in Gold Beach.

Have a look at the "Naza-M and IOC: Why and How" section.
In Phantom mode, the switches are absolutely useless...except for initiating Compass calibration.

Even if DJI says not to do it before you've got some flying experiences, the first thing I did when I got my Phantom was to switch Naza/IOC on. You have so much more options when it's on. BUTTTTTTTT, please, be sure you understand what will happen if you do!!!

In Naza/IOC mode, if you ALWAYS MAKE SURE both switches are in the UPPER position, you ARE flying as if you were in Phantom mode. But if something bad happens, you have way much more options available to recover your craft safely. Have a look at my "Be prepared for the worst" section for more info.

Fly safe.

Hi Fantomas, I've said it before but it is worth repeating: THIS SHOULD BE PART OF THE DJI INSTRUCTION/INFORMATION MANUAL.  (DJI get ya ears on!!)
I have printed the latest copy and it is now my bible.  Do you have a web site ? I want to keep up with your "keeping up!!" and making sure I always have the latest revision.  Where can I do that other than your announcements on this forum?
Cheers!

Ladies and Gentlemen, start your browser.

Thanks for your work.
I did not understand some things, surely for my fault.
1) Phantom takes off with S2 in OFF status: I can switch S2 to Home-lock position during the flight, ok. Can I do the same with Course-Lock?
2) The phantom is in S2 Course Lock position during the flight. How can I reset this and go to S2 OFF status?  How is it possible to reset Course Lock direction moving the switch S2 Top-Middle-Top 3-5 times if its starting posizioni is in the middle? Or reset means: I am in OFF status but you forgot your Course-lock direction.
3) Same of point 2) but related to Home-Lock direction. How is it possible to reset it moving S2 switch Middle-Bottom-Middle 3-5 times if its starting position is in the bottom (or top)? What happens when it reachs  the middle position?

Thanks in advance
PMaxim

Ok, I did some tests and now it is clear for me.

Please, could you explain better, and how best solve,  the problem about Home Lock feature? When the Phantom automatically changes to Course Lock (10 m. from Home point) and then it changes direction because the Course Lock will use its stored forward/back directions?

Thanks

Fantomas has done a lot of hard work gathering this info: Any user will benefit from reading his work thoroughly. DJI you should make his work a sticky, it would prevent a lot of user issues. ( assuming they take the time to read it of course)  I regularly print out his updates and they form part of my Vision 2 + manual.  Great work.
Cheers!
