snow is frozen water. your phantom CAN BE warmer than freezing (on the inside of the shell). If a few (or a lot) snowflakes got inside the vents and melted around your ESCs and other hardware, it could be a problem. obviously not a certainty as you had no issues but still a concern. and 0c is the spec on the craft per manuf so if you are flying at below freezing temp, you dont know for certain that it has been fully tested IN EVERY WAY and whether other parts of the craft are not rated for that, like the compass or barometer for example. not saying compasses and barometers cant do sub zero, but there could be ones that are cheaper that couldnt... i only use that as an example, not suggesting it is true. |
