Has anyone used a Nvidia Shield K1 tablet with their Mavic? If so, how well does it work? And have you used the HDMI output on the tablet to use that port with FPV goggles and how well does it work?

i have ordered a holder to use with inspire 1 holder and a short cable i have connected a pair of cinemizer's all works flawlessly version 6 software on shield the advantage of the cinemizers are you sit them on nose and see below and above which i think is better than the dji goggles setup unless the mavic is going to be out of site while long distance flying then the dji goggles may be better or at leas as good as cinemizers will have to wait and see i also have a 3d printed sunshield for the shield only nag i have is when i use my iPhone 6 plus for compact setup while out on my electric mountain bike, the app has to change to iPhone version of app "PITA"

How is the Nvidia Shield in sunny conditions? Currently using a Note 5 and very hard to see sometimes.

The Note 5 is one of the brighter phones, too.  The Samsung Galaxy S6 is the brightest phone.  Check GSMARENA.COM for nits in sunlight on any device.

I used to use the NVIDIA Shield K and in direct sunlight you can't really see the screen. But that's the same with an iPad too.

If you haven't found one yet you might take a look at the Hoodman Aviator HAV1.  I tried several others and hated them.  I am using it with a Nvidea K1 and a Phantom 4 controller.  It's a 4 sided hood with an optional extension.  It works well in bright sun.
