I started out doing the updates , then checked all the calibrations ( Used android and iphone , S6 edge plus and Iphone 6s+). I personally didn't have the "Sticky stick" no matter what I tried on Iphone. I flew off of 4 batteries and tried Tapfly, ActiveTrack, Sport mode, RTH, Smart RTH and haven't had any problems.  Ill keep playing around and checking other things out, but so far so good.

If anyone wants me to check something just let me know.  All the people waiting just remember its going to be worth every dollar spent and being bummed out cause of the delay , you'll forget it as soon as you open the box!!!

Question How long have you been flying?.................is this you first drone.

Its been a hobby for about 10 years. With Dji I've had most of the phantoms and the inpsire, before then helicopters and planes.

Its too soon to say Mavic, but If i had to pick right now it would be the Phantom 4, give me some more time with Mavic my choice could change.  My choice is purely from a hobby stand point. Many others use these for careers so their choice may be different.

Well, as you can read here, there are different theories on how to start flying the Mavic, when out of the box.
What thing must be calibrated and what not.

I agree. I just followed the manual and what Ive previously did with other Dji products and double checked all the settings. My personal choice is to calibrate compass when its prompts me but dji says to do it when you change locations , so to each his own on that.
