When I try to use Active Track and draw the tracking box, I receive an error stating, "Active Track is not available in this mode".  What mode is it talking about?  Ive tried about every setting.

I have the same problem. It works again for a while if I close the app (fully kill the app) and start again. It mostly crashes when I try to record with active track though. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

I am  having the same problem. After upgrade to the latest firmware version, Active Track stopped working

My DJI Oslo Mobile is running firmware 1.2.0.40 and My Phone is a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with Android 6.0.1

I try using Scene Mode
- Walk
- Sport

My Phone orientation is landscape.

Same result "Active Track is not supported in this mode"

What I already did:
Configuration --> General --> Others --> Reset Fresh Guide --> Reset
Configuration --> Gimbal --> General --> Reset Gimbal --> Reset
Unpair and pair again the phone Bluetooth connection

Any Hints?

I've had the Osmo Mobile for two days. Worked beautifully. Since an update on the app on the afternoon of 15.11.2016, the Active-Track doesn't work. Initially it was saying "Not available in this mode". Since reinstalling, the drag box doesn't pick anything up. This is clearly a software issue as opposed to hardware. Really hope they sort this out immediately.

I am in exactly the same situation. After I updated DJI GO to the newest version (3.1.0), Active-Track  stops working as described above. My phone is LG G4.

In a sad way, it's comforting to know that others have experienced the same since yesterday's update. I use a Samsung S6. I was considering returning the product for a refund but perhaps I'll wait for a fix.

Another one checking in.  Prior to the update active track worked fine - post update I just draw a little white box and it never begins actually tracking anything.  Definitely a software issue.

I'm having the exact same issue. Just got my Osmo mobile today and start playing with everything on it, it's working great, but when I try to use active track no matter which camera I use, Front facing selfie or main back camera I get active track is not available in this mode. I'm on a Samsung galaxy note 5 with the latest DJI go app and latest android software..

I bought it 2 days ago. Great device. The software, however... Anyway... Same issue.
Active Tracking doesn't work and gives that message.
I'm on a Nexus 6p, Android 7. Dji Go 3.1.0.
I also tried the apk given by DJI-Thor (thanks!), but unfortunately the white box still doesn't pick up anything (with no message).

Same here, bought the DJI Osmo Mobile (2 days ago)  and a new phone (Samsung S7 Edge) especially for the active track function to use for filming a wedding this weekend.  Get the same message when I want to try to use active track  (Active track not available in this mode).   Let's hope DJI fixes this VERY quickly.

DJI-Thor : this is the latest version of the app.    please send the link of the version before 3.1.0  maybe this will work until the problem is fixed with an update.  Thanks a million.

I just bought Osmo Mobile today and I have the same problem with my samsung galaxy s7 edge. I can't use active tracking mode and draw tracking  box. Please HELP, because main reason I want to own Osmo mobile cause of Active tracking mode and now is useless...

Same Here! I'm taking my OSMO Mobile back to the store.  v3.1.0 doesnt fix anything.  Active track stopped working on Note 5, and it doesnt allow recording of 4k.  Thankfully, I can return the OSMO to Best Buy for a refund.

@Fansa2788ece - I have android and for the first 2 days of owning the Osmo Mobile, the tracking was brilliant. Only upon updating the Osmo app that it stopped. So the issue isn't android, but rather the devs perhaps not understanding Android software.

It sounds like the updated from 14.11.2016 has conflicted with Android handsets. IPhones don't appear to be conflicted. Hopefully there will be a patch shortly. It's a real bummer.

I've owned my dji osmo mobile for a couple weeks worked flawlessly up until 11/14/16 when I updated the dji go app now subject tracking will not lock onto anything. no warning or error msg.  on samsung galaxy note 5 running latest andriod version.
