So I was looking for a legit hard case, couldn't find one that's available now, so I resorted to a pelican 1400. Overall, is a very nice snug fit, could be a little bit bigger. It holds the mavic, remote, extra sets of propellers, extra battery, a phone, the charger and the cables for it. The case closes with ease. I propped the remote and battery up with spare foam just for easier in and out. Instead of the toothpick trick to lay things out, I took a piece of paper and traced the profile of each item out and did a pre layout until I found something I was happy with and just start removing the foam. Easy peazy pizza cheesy. Lmk if you have any questions.

I'm looking for a liner package and in that way I could put Mavic like a lens in my camera backpack.

It's a shame DJI changed their mind about making the RC sticks removable. If they were, you could probably turn the battery from landscape to portrait and add 2 more batteries to the side of it.

Still plenty portable. The Pelican 1400 is lightweight and not too big. It's a smart way to transport the drone, especially on airplanes.

You can carry on your shoulder in a very small bag you can also bring that on planes, I have a back pack for my P4 not much bigger than that, and it's awkward enough, but each to his own.

I bought the same Pelican 1400 as well. I actually did buy the 1200 and 1300 to see if I can fit all my items in something small. But the 1400 was really the only one that fit right. Here is a picture of the drone and two batteries. I have not decided yet what else to fit in there so there is still some space.

I bought the SAMS Club version which is similar to the Pelican 1450 (from the size). I try to post some pictures later - I have 4 batteries in and certain other stuff, I wait actually for a special cut foam, the pick n pluck foam I don't like because after a while you have only single cubes in your case

I'm back again with my newest gadgets. First my foam arrived and second my minimal configuration bag - already presented here in the forum  :-)The foam fits into a Pelican case 1450 and the SAMS Club case
