Absolutely nothing shipped yesterday or today to anyone on the list. To date DJI have still not even fulfilled one whole day's worth of orders.

I think we can safely interpret yesterday's announcement as meaning that the vast majority of people who have pre-ordered on the DJI site will not receive their shipment for at least another 7 to 8 weeks....

I agree and I think the blanket 7-8 weeks statement was to allow them the flexibility to skirt the first come, first served issue completely. Likely because Amazon and Apple are pressuring, and are being served first. I'd say they've effectively solved any future pre-order debacles, as anyone with half a brain who has watched this will not be likely to pre-order with them again with any preconceived notions of timely delivery.

If that weren't the case, and there were no outstanding production issues, they'd be able to give each of us a 5-10 day window for which we could expect delivery with 75-80% certainty.

Whats happening is almost like a startup (kickstarter) one makes a small batch of units to show the world, a company needs funding to go into full production and gets people to send money. Once money is given they use it to invest to start the production, the sent out units are to find out the flaws in the units, get the data back to fix the problems. The users units get damage or destroyed , less money out of manufacture pockets.. hmmmm

Received update this morning from BestBuy Canada for my order placed on Sept 27th.I supposed to get it on Oct 31st (with the release date Oct 15th - not Nov 23rd as BB Canada mistakenly printed) ... obviously pushed to new date.

Well ...at least there is some movement. I'm leaving on Nov 30th to New Zealand so I will cancel if DJI will be unable to fulfill this order.

I ordered on the 28th  I don't even expect to get it this month, I expect to get it in december just keeping my expectations down. The customer service is really really really terrible, it's so much better on this actual forum,lol.

I'm really not surprised that they're not coping with shipping all of those orders. Check out that working speed.

If I was 'working' in there as a DJI employee. I'd have my feet up on the desk and be watching movies on my mobile all day. Might as well, since there's no way in hell all of those early shipments are going to dispatched in 7-8 weeks. Good luck with that.

First off, this line is absolute BS; "Some of you waiting for your Mavic Pro also expressed concern about our immediate billing of pre-orders. We've heard you and are examining potential alternatives with our payment provider.". They clearly knew that accepting full payment and penalizing customers with a $50 cancelation fee would help hold onto those preorders they wanted to take away from GoPro. Yes, i know the cancelation fee isnt their fault, its the currency transaction, but you can't convince me that they didnt know it'd work in their favor.

Second issue is with the "Full Production" crap from the last DJIs mass email (just one of two communications I've received in a month from a company holding onto $1,400 of mine). If they're in "Full Production" right now, why are we seeing such a small surplus of Mavics in the market right now?

From what I've seen on YouTube the Karma is more similar in size to the Phantom than the Mavic. If that was my choice, I'd still go Phantom.

7 to 8 weeks eh, so for those of us who ordered prior to the 3rd of November, we're looking on having our Mavic anywhere from right now till the 1st week of 2017 then.

personally, no biggie. I still have until the 2nd week of January to wait for it before I go on holiday. Any further than that then I'd probably just regret on getting one as I'm unable to take it with me.
Plus I don't think anyone who ordered from Australia has received their Mavic yet.

Really? Its been well over a month and day 1 orders are not even filled. I'd say its DJI that does ...

Their major problem was to send all their most shipment to resellers like new egg and others thats what was their problem they had a small portion they should of given those to their clients from their online store not their resellers because their resellers don't pay up front like normal clients through their web online store..

There are a few customers that have a camera issue where the edges are soft. Those are being sent in and exchanged.
That was not why the delay was caused, All the DJI employee testers cameras were fine so I don't think that's that case.

There's also a lot of questions that can be answered by reading the manual.
I hope all the new users read the entire manual so they fully know all the features, functions, and limitations of the Mavic.

I am sorry, this is just not good enough.  If you do not have the ability to even say when an order will be shipped you should not be holding the pre payments which should be returned and payments taken when you have product to ship.  What is even more amazing is it appears you are still taking preorders.  You should be closing you order system until you have stabilised the supply situation.  I have tried again to get some information as to when my order will be shipped.  This is now giving me no option than to start the process of claiming my money back through my credit card company and then waiting until dji are in a position to supply as soon as I pay, at least this way I will be waiting with the cash in my own bank account

Well what else can we talk about when the orders of the Mavic are deliberately being delayed? That's the main topic of discussion at this point.

I'd love to discuss about the in-depth features of the Mavic and share some HD videos of my own adventures with the Mavic but that is not physically possible at this current point in time.

My question is if the Mavic is back ordered into January already why are they even still taking pre-orders??? They can't even meet the demands from the launch pre-orders over a month ago, but are still taking peoples money???

Someone at DJI needs to figure out what is exactly going on, instead of sending us useless info we already know. DJI can build an advanced drone that can nearly fly on its own but can't figure out the rate of Mavic Pro build production to get accurate shipping times to customers who DJI already has their money in their pockets? Sounds about right.
