OK DJI,

so you explain the Video recording quality in 1080p/60 is bad, cause you need a low latency for your upcoming FPV goggles?
In other words: You destroy the most common video setting for liquid video and slow motion editing - for your goggles?
You even suggest to use the P4 instead to have good 1080p/60 quality, WTF!

Please consider to make 2 modes available: "1080p/60 FPV" and "1080p/60 Video".
This would be at least a solution for a video setting you advertise for your Mavic.

...and the Mavic "PRO" shall be capable to deliver good Video Quality in 1080p/60!

I dont think they've destroyed it DUE to goggles. They are just claiming it's use is ONLY for the goggles. Personally i think they are breaking the law selling the device saying it can do 1080p/60 knowing the footage is unusable but I'm no lawyer.

You should not care WHY the modes have that strong moiree effect.
YOu need to figure out if you need them or not and then decide to buy the Mavic or not.
(Or if you have it to give it back).

Easy as that.
DOnt rely that it will get fixed because all specsheets say it wont be fixed, except there is always that odd chance of some engineers ingenuity... But dont rely on that, keep or sell.

As long as it is not hardware related and could be solved via firmware, there is hope for my a.m. solution.
But someone from DJI has to answer this question.

I honestly don't care about the Goggles much if they're going to destroy a useful mode for it... Really... Even tho I'm excited for the Goggles but as said, if the video modes are lower quality due to that that's definitely a no go...

Why should I have to read reviews or forums to see if a feature on the spec sheet works or not? If its on the spec sheet I expect it to work when I pay $1000.

But it does work doesn't it?

There's moire and artifacts but it still works. If that specific feature is vital for you then surely you would want to see a review or sample footage?

Thats where I need a lawyer. In the UK we have a 'Fit for purpose' law. And I don't think this would pass it.

Ok, I didn't realise you already had the Mavic. If that's the case then yes, you might argue "fit for purpose" but you would need to check if you are covered by our UK consumer law.

Otherwise you could use your credit card company to dispute but take it up with DJI first.
And if you have it on pre-order, you can cancel knowing that it is not right for you. If that recording format is vital then the Phantom 4 is available at a higher price.
