Well, I've read that others on this forum have had problems. But I don't know what to make of that. I do know that at one time I had a bad USB cable. It was a real short one. I don't know exactly where I got it. The pro was on my garage workbench, and I could not get it to connect. Just on a hunch I replace the cable, and it worked. I've also had trouble a couple of times when it was on the other workbench that had florescent lights overhead. It would not connect then either. But all that was months ago when I first got the Pro. In that case I just walked out of my garage to the end of my driveway, and it connected just fine. In the field, I know there is a certain sequence at startup. In my case I power up the drone, then the RC. Once I get a green light on the RC, I turn on the Tablet. It works every time for me. A couple of times I accidentally left the Tablet on when I powered up the Drone and RC. It did not connect. So I just turned the Tablet off and then back on again. Then it connects instantly. Again, all this happened when I first got the Pro months ago. I fly my Pro almost every day now, and I never have a connection problem if I follow the above start procedure.
I mentioned earlier that my cousin has a Standard and the Tablet A like I do. When he first got his, he had one Hell of a time getting it to connect. He was ready to throw the thing in the garbage. After he called me for help, we figured out that if he went outside and away from his MOBILE HOME, it connected right up. The mobile home is a big metal can. I guess that was the problem. We don't know. But he has never again had a problem connecting when he started up like I do. I just don't have a problem.
The only other thing about the Tablet A, is that the video on display may sometimes show a few pixels. It like the Tab can't keep up with the drone camera. But for me that isn't a problem because I use the video files on the SD card in the Pro. That's perfect. It take a little while to learn all these little tricks and idiosyncrasies. I've been flying mine for 6 months now, almost every day, and I still am trying to figure out some the features and funny things it can do. It takes time to learn how to handle these things properly and safely. |
