Would like my accessories shipped later as well. I bet 99.999% of all combo orders would agree. Combo guys, keep this thread at the top!

Seem like that would be a no-brainer for the company to just split the package. Mavic first and the rest @ later date.

I don't know how you can say this is fraudulent. The mavic and the mavic combo are two separate items. They might only be on the 27th for the combo.
Again this a toy, people need to calm down. You'll get your mavic

Is that like saying, "phones can start fires at gas stations", yet there is not a single documented case? Is there a single case of someone being killed by a hobby drone? This would be a great episode for MythBusters, if it was still going.

Certainly, these hobby drones can cause serious injury, which is enough reason to be careful.

I can't see your fraudulent claim getting too far. Why not join up with another member here who is encouraging others to cancel their order as a protest vote. This would be an honourable thing to do for the benefit of the group that are patiently waiting for their drone to arrive. Sometimes we need a futile gesture at this stage of a new drone's release.

This is a frustrating time for us drone freaks. We want a Mavic badly, and it is beyond our reach even though we paid for it.
I am concerned that here in New England, with the winter just around the corner, we are going to be shut out from flying the new bird due to cold weather when it does get here finally.
I hear about troubles with a few drones that have been received, and they all sound like newbie glitches with a revolutionary product, but I worry will I have to wait 6 months to get it fixed if need be?
I am about to cancel my order and wait until spring. I don't want too, but it seems sensible.

Without question I would be willing and happy to accept delivery of the Mavic Pro first, followed by later delivery of the accessory pack.  They are boxed in two separate boxes and could easily be shipped individually - of course incurring two shipping charges would eat into DJI's profit margin.  That said, wouldn't that be a gesture of goodwill on the part of DJI.....I will not hold my breath.

I understand DJI is shipping mavic's and mavic combo's differently due to their inventory on hand.

However, for instance, I am wondering why all mavic's only are not shipping in order based on their order date?

They are boxed it one box, that contains three boxes for the combo. To ship it separately would be a shipping nightmare for DJI as they would have to repackage the set-up. Not to mention the cost, which would be passed onto the consumer. You do have a choice, wait or cancel.

If you are waiting for spring, you are going to lose a large portion of your warranty period.

With plenty of problematic Mavic's reported here, I would caution purchasing a product like this that is not going to get thoroughly vetted until spring.

I've already been in contact with DJI support. As long as it isn't registered/ activated it can sit there till spring. Care Refresh starts when you activate it, whether it's December or April.

Did not know that about Care Refresh. Good to know.

I was talking about product warranty. I believe that does go off of the order or delivery date.

A couple of things.
First come first served, is based not when you ordered but rather when money was cleared, some people have reported it took 2/3 days for actual money to exchange.
Also though you may no have known if it's your first time to buy from dji, it has always been common practice for dji to delay combination packs weather it was P3P P4 Osmo Osmo+ inspire, and now same with Mavic.
Although it may not be fair, that seems to be how it is, maybe use your thread to get dji to change this policy for future releases , but for now it looks like same old same old.

They did this with P3P also osmo+ no extra shipping charge, so this wouldn't be a precedent for dji.

Ok that was a man what about 3 year old, there are very good reasons, why we must not take these aircraft for granted, I done a safety course for UMA and some of the accidents I've seen are horrendous and not just to children,
So as they say and it's true better to be safe than sorry.

Heck for some people this is part of their BUSINESSES.

I mean it is kind of a toy.

If someone's livelihood is affected by not getting their Mavic on time, then they are probably poor businessmen. Otherwise, they can presumably use their other drone in the meantime to put food on the table.
