Hi, Can anyone confirm that the new phantom 4pro remote would work with the phantom 4.  I want to get the new remote that has the combined screen.  

Please someone tell me it would work with the phantom 4...

Yes, it can connect to WIFI. So you can cache the map when you have wifi network.

Can't work out if I want to order with the new screen or not , like the ease of it but tied to it and I guess no 3rd party apps can run ?

I ordered P4P+ with screen as probably you can buy later another remote without...any idea if it will work with another remote or only one that came with it? The only concern is to have it in two weeks as per site and avoid Mavic issues (I canceled Mavic order)..

It costs quite a lot for a screen.

To me if you have a half decent smartphone, there's probably not toooo much point in paying the extra.

Can't see it being worth an extra £230 for the screen.

I think the whole point of the new screen is it's twice the brightness of a typical smartphone or tablet, therefore is suitable for use in direct bright sunlight without a sun-shield

DJI ken said no but the monitor being a modified android operating system I'm sure that when the sdk is released to developers and litchi is updated there will be a way to side load 3rd party apps such as litchi

from what I've heard it's not just a screen...it has 4GB RAM and 16GB ROM...also it came with HDMI out, WiFi, SD card slot and USB so you're not paying only for a screen.
An advantage is that I can use it freely...what if I'm using the phone with the drone and somebody calls me? how can I answer while flying? Another is there can't be any incompatibility between app and the device? Also, I can keep my phone in my pocket and using it as a WiFi access point for the drone without pushing the battery too hard (screen can be off).

These are my reasons why I've ordered with screen.

I also was thinking, but reading about screen convinced me. Other reasons, there are less items you carry with you (the phone I always have it in my pocket) so a tablet (I have two of them one IOS and one Android) was not an option...too much trouble (cables, power adapters...etc.) so instead of a tablet, a phone, a RC and a drone I prefer a RC, a drone and an extra battery.

the screen should be at least double the brightness of any cellphone or tablet on the market today so that will make a huge difference in the daytime out in the field. Def worth the upgrade.

I have been waiting 40 days for the Maqvic after paying $1300.  I read that DJI no longer takes $$  until ready for shipment ?  Is that the case with the P4P  ??  I want to order NOW but I really have a problem having $3000.  tied up with a company that does not communicate.

I ordered with the monitor, but I also talked with a tech rep who told me the original phantom 4 controller will sync with the P4 Pro, but the Pro monitor Tx will not work on original P4.

yes, my card was charged with 1999 EUR...my account is empty and I asked on chat if two weeks is for sure and they couldn't confirm.....hope not to have the same experience as with Mavic order which I canceled in the end and lost some money on currency exchange.Payment status: Authorized but also I'm on 3rd step with Payment Success. Also, available soon as DJI Credit 19.99 EUR.

     Yes, the GL300F: USB can be synced to the P4P aircraft but as far as I know, you cannot use both controllers at once.  (That would be a good question for DJI.)  You could use the dedicated screen RC and then have the $315 GL300F for use with tablet and 3rd party programs and as a back-up.  Be prepared though, the HDMI with the GL300E uses the same HDMI module you can put on a P3P, P3A, P4 and P4P Remote controllers.  I guess the thin screen could only take so much in add-ons that the HDMI could really help make the whole RC more manageable.  The P4P RC looks exactly like a P4 RC with only the USB module.

     It is even reported that a P4 RC can link with a P4P, but the P4P RC cannot link with the P4.  The problem with the P4 is the P4P uses 2.4 and 5.8 GHz for communication.  The P4 only uses 2.4 GHz.

     At this time probably no.  These new products are still in early development and production.  Later, when the three CrystalSky monitors come out, they may have overcome many of the current hurdles facing them today.  Patience.

That is my experience also.  I ordered through Paypal on 11/15, and the charge shows as authorized/pending.  It has not hit my credit card yet.

You're not going to be able to use 3rd party apps, since the P4P+ does not use an app.

I'm curious too. We have a Phantom 4 Pro with LCD but the lack of third party apps is killing me! We have access to a standard Phantom 4 controller but I can't for the life of me get it to pair to the Pro drone. Can it be done?

I too purchased the P4P+.  The screen is great!  The lack of third party apps is disappointing.  I'm going to attempt to connect my P4 RC to my P4P but it's looking like I'll have to go with the below.  Unless anyone has a standard P4P controller they want to part with?

Hi, can someone give me advise buy P4P+ with built in screen, or P4P.
I know that P4P+ monitor have twice more brightness, which is very good, but I see many who bought P4P+ have some complains.
I use more than year P3P, and will appreciate for any advice from users P4P+.
Money not an issue, what is the better choice.
