After upgrading to 3.1.0, the map no longer follows the drone flight, The map screen stays in the same position
I have already opened the map and clicked in the drone, it goes to the position that the drone is, but again it does not follow the drone

Is this a bug or a configuration problem?

You have the phantom 3 professional, right? please help clarify your aircraft and remote firmware version firstly.
You could still cache the map before flying, while it just stays in the same position when flying, may I know what mobile device you are using? how about the system?
Would you please upload a short video showing this for evaluation? thanks.

Have you already tried reinstalling the Go app? Do you use only WiFi with your tablet or does it have cellular data as well?

i have not noticed, will test tomorrow. I rarely look at the map much..... interesting!

Yes, I have already tried to reinstall

I use Wifi, before leaving my house I update the map on DJI GO

I never had problems, it all started after the App updating to the map Here

I upgraded yesterday and mine fly off map screen to and I don't have google map anymore. My map is at least ten years old. Shows trees where I built my home and my home point in the middle of the trees. Have a Samsung with a I Pod map that is out of date.

I have the same problem with the Phantom 4. The red arrow goes outside the screen and isn't visible anymore. I have used the drone for 4 months without any problem. After some update the problems occur.
Yesterday a new update came out for the dji go app (android), so I installed it and went for a testride today and ... same problem! Please fix that !!!!!

I contacted dji and they said to buy an apple ipad instead .... That is not going to happen, it should (and it did) work for android also.

Called and no one cares at DJI. Old map, no active tracking. They just don't care..

I'm not the downgrade type and like my stuff up to date, but in this case I think I'm downgrading back at least one version of Go, problem solved. Or just use Litchi, which I also have. They use google maps.

And how do you downgrade to an earlier version? I have no idea how to do that.

But I don't understand why they messed it up. It has been working fine on my android tablet and after the update it went wrong. Now dji tells me to buy an apple ipad instead. The morons.

Delete the new app. GREAT NEWS. Go to this site and download version 2.9.1 or any other older version and problem fixed for android.
Just did it and back in the air again. Google map is their and active track.

So I downgraded to dji go app 3.0 and guess what, problem solved for now at least. I am waiting until dji releases a new update which solves the problem and not make it worse.

The issue has been reported to the R&D team to be addressed. The Go 4.0 app is only for the P4 Pro/+, the Inspire 2 and the Mavic. It does not support the P3 series.

In what way did the Support team indicate that they do not care? Based on the email response you provided, they did provide a way to downgrade the app and passed the information to R&D as well. Just to clarify, do you have a P3P like the OP or a P4? I just want to make sure I'm clear as to what you mean by no active tracking.

I Found this link while I was waiting for a response https://appraw.com/apk/dji-go-apk-download-op8bv and downloaded 2.9.1. I called twice and was told to buy an Apple. That you could not go back to a earlier version. (wrong)
I have a p 3 advanced and Pro. Use a Samsung S5.
The active track, it would sihow me on the map where I was and on the new and which way I was flying, the direction. The upgrade it would fly off the map and when the arrow was pointed at me it was flying in another direction. Also it did not have the google map in it. The map in the upgrade would not let me use google and had at least a 10 year old map.
I tried the link that was sent me and still had the old map and decided to put 2.9.1 back in for now. This app works great for me and Samsung Phones and Tabs.

The App is for lot's  of different Drones. When they upgrade for one it has to affect some of the others. This is the problem.

I just wanted to make sure you weren't referring to the P4's active track feature, thank you for the clarification. There isn't a downgrade option for the Go app through the app itself or via Google Play, so it does take alternative methods like what you have done in order to get an older version of the app. I apologize for the negative experience, but glad to see you were able to get yourself up and running again.

Can we have an official download of the working dji go app. If not can we have it clarified that dji will be responsible for any damages from using an app from unofficial sources. I purchased my p4 as it said I can use android, certainly wouldn't want an inferior apple device.

The new GO 4.0 for my P4 does the same fly off the map nonsense, I really don't get it, the new cystal monitor on the RC from dji for the P4P is android. This fly off the map should be fixed soon I hope!

Yep, no matter what you do, the map WILL NOT FOLLOW the P4P either.  I've got the P4P+ with DJI's own screen/proprietary built-in.  

It won't follow fullscreen or minimap.  The minimap also doesn't remember zoom and none of the tiny little buttons on the minimap do ANYTHING (zoom in/out).

ANYONE KNOW what the little pencil with eraser icon is on the bottom-right?  It does NOTHING - EVER.

Eraser icon on google map in past app's allows you to tap it and draw on the map the area you wont to fly in.
Tap again to clear.

Oh my God, really?
I still fly with dji go app 3.0, just to get the red arrow centered. But I had to uncheck automatic updates on the tablet. That is really annoying because I have to do the other updates manually now.

Guys... I'm back to 3.0 version... Google maps is back, and I have no more video reception issues or problem with "Map screen does not follow the drone flight"
I think this one is the last Good version for Phantom 3!
Maybe stay in 3.0 forever

I just went back to 3.0.1 to get this fixed on my tablet. Now I've never used the map too much, mostly FPV. So my question is does the large map (full screen) follow the drone or only the small map lower left of screen. Because that's how it works on my device now that I went back to this version.

Looks like on the dji go 4 app this problem is solved. The red arrow stays in the center but it is laggy. But better this than how it was before.

I have an Ipad and I'm having the same problem.  I was think of re-installing the firmware G0 4 App.
