I have a job to do a fly through in a large steel framed building with insulated cladding so no gps, (250 metres long)
The client wants a steady shot in a straight line, wind draft from the fire exits moved the done on thie first shoot.
Any advise using the Phanton 3 Pro would be greatfully accepted in getting the shots.
Thanks guys
Stuart Andrews

Hey Stu!
I did that this summer outside Berlin under similar conditions you are describing. You can se on my vid (at 56 sec) that it wanders a bit sideways other than that there were no problems. Mind you the distance to the floor was 4-5 meters so the ground sensors helped a lot. It was a P4 but you should be fine with the P3 on 3 meters.

I done a similar shoot inside a large building. Just a suggestion. I adjusted my RTH to hover instead of coming home. Chances are you should for sure be in Atti mode, because if not and with the loss of signal and no GPS you don't want it taking off through the roof trying to come home. I didn't have any troubles. I just went nice and slow and mine turned out real good. Good luck.

No GPS, and theres a lot of Geo fencing around the site. I'm going to try a couple of things and thank you for taking the time to help me.

Yep using the Atti mode.

Yeah, on my flight I hadn't really thought that much before hand, and I flew from outside the building (which did have some very large doors in it) into it a ways and all of a sudden it lost GPS. I immediately set it down and thought about what I was doing and what could possibly happen, so that is the steps I finally took. Flew in Atti, and like I said, just went nice and slow. Had a couple moments when it kind of moved around a bit, but I tried not to panic and just stayed with it. I have flown quite a bit before in Atti, and it does give you a better feel for things. Have fun!

Aloha Stuart,

Have you tried putting it in "F" mode after Take-Off and traveling 5 meters away?  Then put it into CourseLock.  Aim it where you want it to go and fly it.  You can turn the camera where ever you want it to video and it should keep on course.  You may want to refresh your CourseLock skills first though.

Do follow some of the other suggestions to, like change RTH to Hover.  You can always flip the PAF switch to Atti mode is there is a problem.

     Hope this helps!

Aloha and Drone On!

It´s an abandoned chemical plant used by the nazis and then the GDR up until 1999
