Does anyone know for certain whether the Monfrotto-made Phantom Backpack (with the Phantom 4 Pro, batteries and Tx inside) will fit in an airline overhead bin?

Well, I'm giving it a try tomorrow.  Will let you know.  It should.  It's smaller than my actual carry-on bag so....

Cool!  Thanks for the reply.

Do happen to have the dimensions - HWL?  Also, was that with a Phantom 4 Pro?

I flew with the Manfrotto's Phantom 4 backpack (similar to DJi's) on AA's 737, 757 and 777 and they would easily fit in the overhead compartments. Now fitting the backpack in one of those tiny Embrare jets that American Eagle uses (regional jets) was a challenge and unless you find a whole compartment empty, you will have to gate check it.

If the P4 case is similar in dimension to the Phantom 3 hardshell backpack, you should have no problem with an airline overhead  compartment. ;-)

I flew from Australia to New Zealand with the P4 Backpack - fits perfectly on the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 configurations most of the time.
