Even though I lowered the rotating/panning rate in the settings and try to rotate in place slowly the video is choppy.

4k 30fps.

Any suggestions?

Expo Yaw = 0.20 or less??
Try Tripod mode.
ND filter to get the rolling shutter to 1/60th would help to blur the tear..

also happens when tilting the gimble.

There were some pretty high winds when I shot this.

I think this is mainly related to shutterspeed. Indees looks choppy all over the place. Try to fly later on the day when the sun is almost gone and check again, make sure ISO is at 100. And see if it gets smoother.

ND filters will be a must for sunlight shots... Then again, I have seen footage in the sun that looks smooth. So not 100% sure.

Think nd or polarized filters would be better?

I am currently selling a set of 4 ND/CPL filters for the Mavic on a popular forum. I doubt it is allowed to mention the details, so I won't say more.

Do a test first in low light. Shutter will be lower.
