Hi everyone, I'm new to this whole adding comments and questions lark so please help me out. I have recently preordered a mavic,which will by my first drone. However my question is about a Phanton 2 which I've just purchased for my son for Christmas. The Phanton comes with everything except a camera. My first thought is to go for a GoPro. Don't wanna spend a fortune so probably looking at the original hero. Is this the one to go for or maybe an alternative. Wanting to take advantage of all the features the Phantom can offer, will the GoPro stream the image to a phone, will an alternative not offer this feature.

Any help on this subject would be awesome.

All depends on what model Phantom 2 you have ?
A Basic phantom 2 has no camera view hardware included.
You need a Vision or Vision + to use the phone app, and they both come with the camera fitted.

You can buy a brand new Phantom 3 Standard for less than It will cost you to add a FPV (first person view) kit to a basic Phantom or replace a missing V+ camera and gimbal.
