So I had my P3 replaced under warranty, and I just got it back but look what I found on th e seemingly brand new aircraft. Clearly someone failed to assemble the shell correctly. To fix I apparently need to remove the screw between the upper and lower shells but it looks like a torx wrench but what size. Do you think I will have ro remove additional scews? Sucky QC on DJI's part but hopefully no big deal.
I have been afraid to try that for fear of cracking the shell and the shell is very thin along the seam. I examine it further to determine if that might work.

Good idea to loosen or remove that screw first, but probably not mandatory. The shell is actually quite flexible and you won't damage it. The shells with crack lines aren't from snapping the tabs into place.
Unfortunately, it seems not all shells are created equally and a few are prone to stress cracks.
Just pop it back into place - they are made for that.

If you use something flat/narrow like a bread knife, carefully spread the halves and push it back together, it will be fine.
Go slow, use a steady hand and you'll be good to go.
Sorry if this seems like a chore, but, take your time, and don't be nervous.
