People will still use them, but they are less necessary because of the aperture and shutter settings you can now do. People still us ND filters on SLR cameras that are better than what's on the P4P. Depends on what you're shooting and the effect you're going for.

The variable aperture in the P4 Pro goes from f/2.8 to f/11 which removes the need for ND 4, 8, and 16 filters.   But, an ND filter will be requred to get down to 5 or 6 stops (ND32, ND64). And, there still will be a requirment for  polarizing filters and graduated ND filters.

as mentioned above you won't be able to compensate exposure with aputure for very bright sun while shooting 1/50 (for PAL), becouse ASA 100 and F 11 sometimes is just not enough.

No, P4 ND filters are not compatible with the P4P. However, DJI have released new ND filters for the P4P on their online store at £25 each. The need for ND's on the P4P is not as necessary as on the previous Phantoms but they are there now if you want them.

Hey,

Phantom 4 Pro Filters are different from Phantom 4.

I assume the pictured Phantom 4 Pro is the EXACT one I'll receive WITH the filters, right?

Ability to control aperture on the P4p does not eliminate the use of ND filters because one can only close down the aperture so much before losing significant sharpness due to light diffraction. I would avoid closing down to smaller than f6.3, which on the P4p 1inch sensor is equivalent to about f17 on a full frame sensor.

Sound, poignant and technically apt advice. Unfortunately it will fall on deaf ears amongst the majority of this crowd and they'll continue to harp on about the inclusion of an aperture on the P4 camera.
